I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is always a pleasure. The staff is fabulous, the food, excellent, and the hotel beautiful to be in. I am always sorry that I cannot stay longer to enjoy all that the hotel has to offer. I will stay here whenever I am in the area.

Hotel's Favorite
Really ornate construction and generally professional staff. I thought it was odd that I had to call daily and ask for my room to be cleaned, but other than that I had a great time. The venue and ballrooms are most excellent for world class events, but the internet is weak sauce. I think that they could do a better job to staff the lobby the bar as I was attempting to entertain clients and after waiting 20 minutes I had to walk into the kitchen to find a staff member that was poised to help but even after going to that extreme the server said that he would see about sending ”our server” over i.e., he could and should have jumped in himself as he was also a server. For context the bar was not busy.

Every corner of The Grand Hotel is gorgeous! The service is unmatched! My daughter especially loves the big mystery box. Kids get to choose a door, behind every doors is cute stuffed animal. She got a white seal this time! Makes arrival special! My favorite spot for family photos is the courtyard with thousands of blooming flowers, 360 degree views of fountains and French château! Our fabulous room overlooked the impeccably manicured pool area. Where we spent most of our days; Swimming lounging relaxing. Its crystal clear waters are perfectly heated. Even though you’re downtown it’s so peaceful because it’s an enclosed courtyard. The workout facility is great, lots of space, never had to wait for equipment. We ate at the Laurel (thank you Patty and Travis) Outstanding service and every single thing we ordered was prepared to perfection. The mushroom calamari, tuna tartare and mussels and clams all stood out, as well as the steak frites and Branzino. Just wow. Don’t miss the wood fire pizza oven. Shrimp pesto pizza. Yes please. My favorite meal was the Mother’s Day brunch. So. Many. Stations. Perfection! What a wonderful opportunity to dress up and live it up!! We had breakfast pastries at Bonne Vie several times. Best pastries and cappuccinos hands down. Favorites include almond croissant and fresh fruit tarts! All freshly made on site! Crossed the street to the Coffee shop at The Little America for a delicious prime rib lunch. They know prime rib!! One thing is for certain, no details is too small to be overlooked. We are always impressed when we visit. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you Grand America for the perfect Mother’s Day weekend!

We spent 2 nights over the weekend. The hotel is promoted as one of the most luxury hotels in Salt Lake City with "excellence in details". And this is exactly what we missed here. Although the hotel room are large and comfortable, incl, the bathroom, the hotel fails on the service. Housekeeping is just on request, so if you are not informed during check-in (exactly what happened in our case), you may spend 2 nights without any cleaning and a full trash. On Sunday at 8:45 am no breakfast at the hotel is available, as the hotel restaurant was closed to prepare for a brunch. Even if you are offered to take a breakfast at the sister hotel across the street (Little America Hotel), there you are asked to wait 20 minutes for a free table. So ultimately you grab a bagel at the Little America hotel’s cafe. In the lobby lounge we wanted to have a tea, but the hotel had just one(!) tea sort available and difficult to believe that the way they served the tea for 10 USD per person (photo attached) indeed fits the luxury and all the "excellence in details".

This hotel is beautiful and provides great service. Very friendly staff, large room, overall great experience. To top it off, my favorite toy store (feels like an old school toy store) is inside. Next time I’m going to have to bring the family and let me daughter experience the shop too.

Friendly, professional, and efficient staff, outstanding breakfast service, solid Wi-Fi, nice room, hard to beat. Very convenient to walk about SLC. We weren’t around for the weekend brunch but we’re told it’s a treat even the locals enjoy!

No doubt the hotel looks like a lovely, opulent 5-Star, but when you dig in, it just looks like one. Couple of examples: 1) Worst room service menu I've ever seen at an upper-scale hotel. 3 diner entrees, 2 dessert choices. I asked the waiter why, and he told me that they have a very limited room service menu to force people to go to the restaurant. (Straight from the horses mouth) 2) Front desk girls (Especially "Riley") seem to have used "The Devil wears Prada" as a training video, because they all gave off that snooty, Miranda Priestly vibe. 3) Blackout curtains don't black-out when the are an inch or two off the floor. 4) Had to fight for an extra 30" checkout time. They see late-checkout requests as a revenue stream. (Charging an extra $40 for late check-out. Seriously?) "Savon" did cave and comp me the extra 30 minute, which was appreciated. On another note, Valet/bellman guys were really nice and efficient. Stay there again, doubtful. Could be amazing - it isn't.

The Grand America Hotel in downtown SLC was absolutely amazing!! We are from California and my daughter is attending the U and transitioning dorms between spring & summer semester, and needed a place to stay for a few days before new dorm would be ready. We made a mother/daughter visit out of it so I booked The Grand for us to visit with each other, and it exceeded our expectations. Exquisite, classy and elegant decor, stunning tulip & rose courtyard, lovely indoor pool and awesome workout gym facility, spacious and beautiful guest rooms, plenty of nice dining options, lots of amenities and first class customer service all around! We will highly recommend and definitely be back to stay again!

Everything was outstanding and top notch within the Grand. My only complaint would be that our reservation was at little america (the sister hotel across the street) with notation 4 months early of us being ate arrival by train at midnight yet still bumped.
