I had originally planned to stay here with my boyfriend while we visited my family for Thanksgiving. As it turned out, he had to be away for work and I got very sick just as I was traveling to Utah. The Monaco made this miserable turn of events much easier to deal with. I was able to hole up for three days and rest, and the hotel was quiet and accommodating. The staff is incredibly polite, the free morning coffee is good, and room service is prompt and - thanks to the award-winning restaurant downstairs - high-quality. In a couple of brief outings, I was impressed by the range and quality of restaurants, coffee shops and other amenities nearby. Under better circumstances, I would have made use of the handsome bar on the ground level and maybe dined at Bambara. But that’ll have to wait for next time.

I came back on business to SLC and I had no hesitation on staying here again. It was a great decision. When I arrived, they had a welcome back gift and wonderful note for me. I had a long travel day followed by working before coming to the hotel and this just made my day. I had drinks and dinner at The Vault, the bar. Wonderful as well. It was Halloween themed in decor and drinks, which was fun and tasty. Definitely stay here!

I haven't been to a bad Kimpton yet. The service is impeccable! I hate that Peta took away my goldfish but people like to spoil fun...The room was comfy...quiet and the lobby had flavored water, tea and coffee available. THe location was great for walking and very close to the Tabernacle!...I even hiked to the Capitol building There is a great pastry shop near called Evas!

Older antique styled hotel. Comfortable rooms with nice beds. Shower/bath combo bathrooms are okay but not the best. Gym on premises and restaurant with good food options. Nice lobby and friendly helpful staff.

First time in SLC after touring National Parks in southern Utah. Reception gentleman gave us a good room after the one originally slated for didn’t match up with what I requested. He upgraded us to a king at the end of the hall and elevators from a queen. Very nice; all of the staff was friendly and polite. I’d stay here again. The hotel restaurant is overpriced, but pretty good. We were out during the 5-6 happy hour: wine and catered snacks.
