Highly recommend this bed and breakfast! The hurricane ridge suite offered top notch amenities, along with that and the hospitality of the inn keepers, it made our stay and anniversary very special! This is the view of the sunrise from our balcony!

When we first walked into the Hoh Rainforest Suite, my breath was taken away! I could not believe the views directly before me. The website pictures were beautiful, but did not prepare me for the real thing. The room was perfectly furnished and decorated, the adjoining living area was cozy and looked out onto a garden and fountain. The bathroom was large with a great walk in shower that reminded me of an outdoor shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. Sunrise from inside or out is not to be missed! The grounds were enchanting with cozy places to sit and admire the sights and sounds, there were gardens throughout the property with more fountains, waterfalls, benches, and special touches. Very Zen like. Chris (we only met Chris during our stay) met us upon our arrival, gave us a great introduction to the property and made it clear he was always available. We rarely saw him, allowing us to feel as though we had the place all to ourselves. However, when we did have a request, he was right there! I really do not have words to properly express the beauty of this place, all I can say, is............go see it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in the Crescent Lake suite. It was very private and very quiet which was wonderful. Pretty setting with lots of flowers blooming right next to the private deck/patio. When we couldn’t figure out the shower head the first time using it, a quick text and Stephen was at the door and figured out what the problem was. He and Chris were very responsive to any question you had, but otherwise never intrusive. In fact, the rooms/cabins were full but they are situated in such a way that we never saw anyone! The best feature of the room were the French doors that open onto the deck for a heavenly early morning breakfast. We did not purchase the 9:00 am breakfast as we were out early every day to hike. The thing that we liked the least had nothing to do with Domaine Madeleine but it was really tough to find good food in the area. We followed their restaurant suggestions after making a few “errors”. We found a great breakfast place for 7am, and a few adequate dinner places. We stayed 6 nights here and loved every minute of it. When we saw there was a gas fireplace in the room we thought, being July, we would not use it. But it was downright chilly a few nights. Actually a great break from the East Coast heat wave! I can’t say enough about our experience here. I would highly recommend Domaine Madeleine!

We stayed in the Sol Duc Cottage which was charming and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the shower was huge. The heat did not work when we arrived but it was repaired right away. Stephen, one of the managers, met us soon after we arrived and was very helpful. The gardens around the cottage and the main house were lovely and the view from the bluff in front of the main house was great. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and the huge TV worked well.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we apologize that the gas fireplace remote required some maintenance when you arrived. We've updated our procedures to include recharging the batteries on a more frequent basis (the batteries in the fireplace receiver were low). It sounds like everything else about your stay met your expectations for a peaceful getaway to the scenic Olympic Peninsula. We appreciate that you chose Domaine Madeleine. If there was anything else we could have done to earn a 5 from you, we'd appreciate you letting us know directly so we can learn from your experience and improve.
