We stayed in the Sol Duc Cottage which was charming and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the shower was huge. The heat did not work when we arrived but it was repaired right away. Stephen, one of the managers, met us soon after we arrived and was very helpful. The gardens

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we apologize that the gas fireplace remote required some maintenance when you arrived. We've updated our procedures to include relaxing the batteries on a more frequent basis (the batteries in the fireplace receiver were low). It sounds like everything else about your stay met your expectations for a peaceful getaway to the scenic Olympic Peninsula. We appreciate that you chose Domaine Madeleine. If there was anything else we could have done to earn a 5 from you, we'd appreciate you letting us know directly so we can learn from your experience and improve.

Be sure you take the garden tour. We had the opportunity to visit this Select Registry property as a group (although I did not say on the grounds). The owners have amazing talents with the gardens and with the hand painted artwork in the guest rooms. It is difficult to say

We're so glad your group got to visit our little corner of the world! Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experience. Our gardens are designed to delight all year, but if you get the chance to visit in the spring when things start blooming it's extra special. But we're happy to share our hospitality any time of year.

We're so glad you enjoyed celebrating your birthday with us and that we were able to help make every detail special. We also appreciate that you enjoyed the recently renovated steam shower and jetted tub in the Hurricane Ridge Suite. We definitely think those are luxury touches that everyone should enjoy at least once. :-) (Don't tell anyone that our super comfortable bed linens are available for sale in our gift shop and on our website... But if you wanted to bring the comfort home, you can. ;-) )

Congratulations on your wedding, and we appreciate you choosing to celebrate here with us on your honeymoon. We're so happy that you enjoyed your stay and the different itineraries we've curated to help you better see the area with more time for adventure so you can return to the inn for more rest and indulgence. We searched a long time to find the perfect sheets... So glad you slept well and that you decided to bring the comfort home. :-) hopefully you'll be able to return again to enjoy the area. Every season brings with it all new adventures (winter sports at Hurricane Ridge, wildflowers in the meadows, rain in the lush rainforests...). Thank you again for your kind words.

I would say April or May would be the best time in the spring for hiking. March might be too early depending on how much snow they get during the winter. We have been in May before and have had great hiking weather. Any time of the year Domaine Madeleine is wonderful. O
