Great place, wonderful cabins, it felt like staying with family. Great price, the owners are always great to work with and not super stuck up like most hotel management. The rooms are unique, individual little cabins. Would gladly return anytime I pass through

Do not, under any circumstances, stay here if you value privacy, cleanliness, and fire safety codes. The "private" rooms are anything but; a curtain separates my room from the next room, and I can clearly hear the guy next door snoring and farting...as if he was in bed with me. And, I have to walk through the curtain to within three feet of Sleeping Guy to access the stairs that lead to the bathroom and the front door. The smell of onions, dudes, and sweat is so strong I am trying to sleep with the window wide open, even though it is forty-two degrees in January. It is two o'clock in the morning right now, and I can't wait for this night to be over. However, DO stay here if you want a true low-budget traveling experience, have only thirty bucks keeping you from sleeping on the sidewalk, and have been on the road so long by yourself that you're so lonely you could cry. The man who took my money was nice enough, but was at a complete loss as to what to do when I asked for a receipt. I did appreciate the use of bowls, forks and glassware in the common kitchen area...however, a couple of guys were watching some sort of horror flick as loud as the TV could go after 8 PM. Wouldn't have been a big deal, except that there was literally nowhere else to eat dinner except in the hot, stuffy, smelly "private" room. In retrospect, this hostel was a bad choice. I should have listened to my basic instincts and slept in the back of my truck somewhere. I tried to be open-minded when I first saw the accommodations, but...there you go. I don't like leaving negative reviews about places, but the website does not adequately represent actual sleeping accommodations or cleanliness conditions.

Small and cosy little hostel in Port Angeles. Really relaxed atmosphere with pretty much everything you'll need for a night's hostelling: only real gripe about the place (and it's a minor one) was that I wasn't offered a key to any of the lockers, but hostel was fairly empty so I didn't feel it was necessary Prime location within walking distance to ferry and transit, and Safeway (grocery store) is around the corner

For the price you just can't beat the hostel, Cody runs the whole show by him self while being a single father. I've never seen the back from the inside buts its cute on the outside. The Dorms are cozy and it's a family style living room with Kitchen and shared fridges. If you're just looking for a relaxed evening, give him a call.

Wish I read the reviews before I tried staying here! I say 'trying' because I didn't even up staying. I booked two nights here; I received a response a couple days later confirming my reservation and asking for my ETA, which I gave. Arrived exactly when I said I would to no lights, no door-bell, no one home. Tried knocking (a lot) and waited around for about 15 minutes. Was leaving, walking past the next house over (which I was never informed was somehow associated with the hostel) when a voice from the shadows asks if I'm looking for the hostel. The guy, whose face I never saw because he stood in the dark the whole time, smoking - very unsettling - tells me I should have called him. Well, I don't have an American phone to start with, but I was also never instructed to call when I got there - if that's the usual procedure, then you'd think he would have mentioned it. So I point out that I was never told to call when I arrived, and he responds, "Do you want to stay at the hostel or not?" Needless to say, I struck out to find alternative accommodation. This guy's a jerk who clearly isn't particularly interested in actually attracting business. Lots of other places to stay in PA.
