The contactless check-in and check-out process was easy. Stayed in the Cape Alava room which has two twin beds. The beds were so comfortable! The room was clean, quaint, had what we needed. Great location for the hikes we went on. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a short stay. On our last day we discovered there were emus on the property!
The guest house was the perfect option for our quaranteam! None of us were able to go home to our families, so we did a little getaway close to our WA home. The house was clean and cozy, and really had everything we needed for a fully furnished kitchen! We purchased all of our groceries in our home town and cooked all meals at the house. Our goal was to limit the public spaces we entered, and having a fully functional kitchen in this guest house was key to accomplishing our goal. They are currently doing contactless check in, which was a breeze, and they even sent a text to see if we needed anything the first morning we were there. Highly recommend staying here! Conveniently located with easy access to the coast, the mountains or forest hikes.
My partner, toddler son and I stayed in the guesthouse for three nights and would definitely recommend. Very spacious and everything you need (full kitchen, everything in good condition etc). Went to Costco in Seattle in our way to Bainbridge ferry and stocked up so we had everything we needed for all meals. We missed having a washer and dryer but knew not to expect it so came prepared. We also brought a pack n play for our son to sleep in. BYO charcoal for the grill. Owners were very responsive to texts but we didn’t have any issues. Under 10 minute drive to lake crescent, 15 to Port Angeles (Safeway etc), and an hour to the top of Hurricane Ridge. For exercise I was able to do a good hill run on a steep mountain road, turn off was 1/3 mile west of lodge on the 101. Also drove to the boat dock on the smaller Lake Sutherland a few minutes drive west before Lake Crescent and do a series of HIIT workouts with a view and cool off in the lake after. Also brought my mat and did Peloton yoga and strength classes in the charming side garden. (Preload content to avoid wifi issues). …
We loved our stay at Emerald Valley Inn. It was the perfect location for a home base at the North end of the Park. Lots of hikes nearby. Granny's had wonderful food and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and have great updated decor. The beds were comfortable and we slept great. It was half the price of staying in the park. It's quaint and older so the rooms are small unless you get the 2 rooms with a Queen in each. But we enjoyed our little space.
Close to Olympic national park. Room was clean and had a country vibe. Granny’s cafe is a cute place on the property to get a quick bite or ice cream. The owners have animals (goats, chickens, emus, a donkey, a cat, bunnies) which are sweet. Only complaint is that the room didn’t have a fridge or microwave. With there being few food options around, it would have been nice to have a way to store leftovers and snacks.
