After a warm welcome from our attentive hosts, we settled into a nice studio unit (#20) with parking right in front. The unit is one of the smaller units (although the bathroom is quite large) but just fine for us. It has coffee& tea making facilities and a cooler type fridge but no cooking facilities. Food may be stored in...

We stayed for 2 nights to go on the Fox Glacier Heli-Hike. Marlene made us feel welcome straight away and gave us plenty of information about the area including local restaurants. Unfortunately, when we booked the room the bar and restaurant were open but due to under-use they are no longer used except for breakfast. The room was spacious, well...

This motel is a short drive out of town. When arriving it has a great view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman, you can see the view on the web cam of NZ. The room was very comfortable and quite. Access is via doors at either end of the building plenty of parking.

This is the second time we have stayed at this most comfortable hotel. The main reason we returned was for the warm greetings previously provided by the charming host Marlene & the excellent value for money..... both of which are still provided.

We chose this hotel as a location to visit both glaciers for what it is perfectly situated. The rooms were large enough even for 5 weeks worth of travelling gear as we had. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and charming. We ate in their restaurant several times and were always happy with the food's quality. Not a large menu but...

We spent 2 nights in Fox Glacier at this Hotel. The town is smaller that Franz Josef but still close enough, and we used it as a base to visit both. The hotel is comfortable and the attention by the owners is very good. It's not located in the town itself but close. We didn't have the opportunity to eat...

I don't ski, let's get that out of the way, and I stayed at this hotel during off-peak (no skiing) season. The hosts are very, very nice. My fiance and I had arrived very late in the evening after spending the whole day in the car driving to Fox Glacier. The host was kind enough to open up the bar...

We stayed one night. The restaurant was closed and we were recommended to go out to a restaurant for dinner. We were traveling with my old parents and unfortunately, my father got sick at night. The host was very helpful and we got a registered nurse visited to the hotel and we managed to move to the next location. Without...
