We were there on July 2016 on our honeymoon, we spent one night and everything was very good. Good location, and the manager was very nice. Breakfast is complete, and since we were the only guests, the manager prepared us everything we wished. She also adviced us about places to visit apart from the Glacier, for example the superb Lake... More

We stayed for two nights at Fox Glacier Lodge and the lovely service followed by the warm gas log fire and cabin feel gave us a great experience. The cabin was clean with a updated bathroom, kitchenette and first floor bedroom which gave gorgeous mountain views. Parking free and right at the cabin door. The amenities were more than adequate... We stopped at this property on our way from Christchurch to Queenstown. We drove across the south alps just to see the scenery. While the weather didn't cooperate as we had hoped and it rained almost the whole time, this lodge was just perfect for our needs. The lodge provided all you needed to make a great breakfast....eggs, toast, cereal,... More

We made the mistake of stopping in this town for the night, thinking it was the bigger out of Fox and Franz Josef. The accommodation itself was adequate and the staff member was friendly enough. We stayed in a campervan so were totally self contained. The problem with this place was more of feeling, which I is completely subjective. It... More

Friendly female receptionist! Huge room with complimentary sweets! Huge toilet fitted with heating panel, big spa tub, bubble bath! Breakfast of freeflow juice, yoghurt, cereal, eggs and toast with jam was substantial! A lovely place to stay!

We stayed one night in the king chalet and it was glorious. My wife loved having the fireplace to stay warm, and it completes the mountain lodge vibe with the wood paneling and high ceiling. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and you have to factor it into the cost of your stay here (though not all rooms come with breakfast).... More

As a couple we stayed in the king bed chalet for one night and it is a real find on the West coast. Presented at a high standard with a lot of thought about the little things that differentiate it from the mass of motels or hotels. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and with generous proportions this is a top... More

Just stayed one night at the Fox Glacier Lodge, and would have loved to stay for another! The service and advice from the owner was excellent, particularly advising us to hold off on the helicopter ride until the morning (which had clear blue skies). The room (with Mezzanine) was very spacious, and it had a nice flat-screen TV, a large... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The reception was warm and friendly and provided us with great information about places to visit. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast selection was good. One thing that would have been good is to have a small coffee table in the room.

Staying at the Fox Glacier Lodge was an experience. Very noisy. They house backpackers that party all night and the noise level is disturbing. It's not all the fault of the lodge, but in some ways they could keep the noise level down. The service level was good, and the staff was very nice and accommodating. As they say. Location,... More
