The Olde Mill House is a perfect location for convenient and fun bike riding to loads of nearby wineries. Teresa and Ike were consummate hosts, picking us up from the airport, taking us to a winery when it was pouring rain, and returning us to the airport at the end of our stay. When our bikes got wet overnight, they pulled out dry ones for us! The bnb is ultra cozy (the fireplace was often lit as we were there in July, NZ winter) yet we still made use of our patio walkout for morning coffee. We used the hot tub almost every night. Teresa and Ike were super friendly and helpful and also gave us the space for us to enjoy ourselves. I wish I was still there for the morning croissants and espresso machine made coffee every morning- can't wait to go back!!!
A charming B&B with the most warm & welcoming hosts. We stayed 2 nights. Such a peaceful location and beautiful gardens. The room we had was very comfortable with own ensuite. The bed was super comfy. Everything was there that we needed and the hosts are very knowledgeable about the region. The continental breakfast was excellent. You can take onsite bikes out to tour the wineries. Thanks Teresa & Ike for the wonderful stay.
We had a lovely 4 night stay at Olde Mill House. We were 3 couples traveling together, so it was perfect with 3 bedrooms with their own ensuites. We had the whole house to ourselves which made it special. You would also feel comfortable there if you were traveling solo. Theresa would be there every morning preparing a yummy continental breakfast and a spot on espresso coffee. She was a wealth of information about the area and a delight to talk to. The house was close to all the wineries for our lunches and a quick drive into Blenheim for dinners.
We stayed 3 nights at the Olde Mill B&B, awesome place! Beautiful setting with outdoor areas to sit and relax, plus a great spa to enjoy after your cycle around the vines! Lovely comfortable bed, room was excellent as is the delicious continental breakfast serviced in the dining room. Hosts Teresa and Ike are the best, just so helpful with local knowledge and our bikes which are included with your stay were great to ride. We will be back !
Teresa and Ike were the perfect hosts from a warm welcome to great advice to get us off on our bikes exploring the local vineyards. A fabulous breakfast set us up again the next day! Our room was cosy comfortable and spacious with a small private deck which would have been lovely in summer.
My husband, daughter and I spent a wonderful 5 nights at this B &B after they rescued us when our initial booking at an Air B & B was cancelled on us. We are thrilled we got to stay here. From the moment we arrived it was clear that the Ikenasio family were the perfect hosts. We stayed in the Heritage room which was lovely. The breakfasts were beautiful and Teresa’s jams and granola were a winner. The house is in Renwick right in wine country. The ability to use the bikes to explore the vineyards added an extra touch and it was great to relax in the spa at the end of the day.
My wife and two of our friends stayed for 2 nights here. Excellent rooms and facilities, great continental breakfast and Teresa was an awesome host. Used the free tandem bike service to visit some of the wineries too. Highly recommend you staying here. Thanks Teresa and hope to stay again when we are in the Blenheim area next time. Paul & Janet
Well hosted by Teresa at her lovely character b and b looking out to the hills across the vineyards of Renwick. We were a party of 3 and took two of the very comfortable rooms with en suite. After a meal in the town a short walk away we sat on the verandah and enjoyed the night air as the sun set. Breakfast was presented to us by our host next morning and we got to know one another a little more. A delightful stay and we would like to return and spend more days next time, maybe using the cycles.
Welcomes are so important and from the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. 1eresa was a terrific host and made us feel at home at once. The room was in excellent condition and was spacious. There were 3 rooms (we were shown around all of them) and all of them were delightful. The continental style breakfast was well done and there was always more food than you could possibly eat. The house is set in a beautiful garden with a lovely spa pool, which was very much appreciated after our cycle ride. The house is a five minute walk from the centre of Renwick, not that there is much in the centre of Renwick other than a pub, a café and a takeway. One of the reasons we choose to stay here (so glad we did) was that the cycle hire comes free when you stay.. There was a great selection of bikes to choose from. There are plenty of winery within an easy cycle ride ( the area is very flat) and with a little planning you can avoid the busy roads which makes it a very pleasant way of visiting the winery and of course you don't have to worry about drinking and driving.…
Another wonderful stay, this time with friends. We throughly enjoyed our very comfortable and homely stay. This time as a group and the courtyard, BBQ and spa pool just added a next level of comfort where we could relax in the evenings. Again the gardens are just stunning and hosts the best. Ike was so knowledgeable on the wineries and local restaurants, recommending just right ones to fulful our differing tastes and available time perfectly. Thanks so much from Ron, Jill and our Totsi (Top of the South Island) 4x4 group.
