A warm greeting by John one of the owners as we pulled up outside reception after a long drive from Sydney. We were given the keys to cottage number 2 and we were not dissapointed. Being in a wheelchair it's important to have the room to get around and have a fully accessible bathroom. Breakfast was provided which our son cooked on the barbecue. My wife was resting in the hammock when a Wallaroo came by, so close to nature and the wild with the continuous sound of Bell Birds. Kangaroos were seen in the paddock on a few occasions. A feather tailed glider was hiding in the hammock (smallest Possum). If you want to visit the Hunter Valley and want something different then this is the place to go. Thoroughly recomended for a wheelchair user.

The cottage is lovely, nestled in bushland about 20 mins from Pokolbin with an outdoor spa that was a real treat. Unfortunately the aircon had a 2 hour timer preset to a temperature that couldn’t be adjusted to our individual needs, very uncomfortable & inconvenient especially as we arrived on a 37*C day. Our package included a lovely fresh breakfast basket, a bottle of local Shiraz & some choccies. No wifi & intermittent mobile phone service gives you a peaceful break.

We are glad that you enjoyed our cottage, the private outdoor spa and our breakfast hamper with complimentary Hunter Valley wine and chocolates. We are disappointed that our new one-touch air-conditioning system which is pre-set at 23c for optimal efficiency was not satisfactory for you. Had you called in to the office during your 3 day stay, we could have addressed this for you. In an endeavour to be as environmentally friendly as possible, our air conditioning systems turn off after 2.5 hours to avoid wastage of electricity when guests depart or go out for daily exploration of all the Hunter Valley has to offer. If guests stay in, one touch operation reactivates the system immediately.

A little piece of paradise, so quiet and perfect for a couples getaway. We relaxed in the hammocks, refreshed in the spa and cosied next to the fire. John goes out of his way to make your stay extra special and memorable. Thank you for a perfect break from the busyness of our lives.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 3 nights (unfortunately we didn’t get a spa cabin) but it was a great stay none the less. The place is secluded and setup in a way that you feel truly alone very peaceful and quiet. The cabins are well presented and clean with John the owner giving you a breakfast hamper a the start of your stay which was great. It is close enough to all the winery’s and local attractions if you would like to get out and about and also close enough to some great walking tracks. I would certainly recommend this place to my friends and will be back again for a stay.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, Craig. We are delighted to know that you had a great stay and enjoyed our peaceful, quiet location, even in the middle of school holidays! We're glad you found some of our nearby wineries and walking tracks too. Your booking via Agoda was for the Deluxe cottage (no spa), so for your next visit we certainly recommend our Deluxe Spa cottages with private outdoor heated spa under the stars. Call us anytime for availability, tariffs and reservations.

My partner and I spent a long weekend here and were so pleased with the service and accomodation. Our cottage was a little dated, but in a way that gave it a quaint, cozy feel. The kitchen was well equipped and the rest of the cottage was well furnished. Our cottage had a spa which was clean and well maintain bed. John and Andy, the owners were so amazingly helpful and made us feel welcome before we’d even arrived. They helped us book a wonderful wine tour and were always available and approachable. Definitely worth staying here during a trip to the Hunter!!
