This was a holiday unmatched thus far. Our days started at 4:45 am with a gentle wake up knock at our door. Followed by a fight to get our six year old and us out of bed and to the breakfast table in 30 mins. There would be lots of whining and cribbing about the early hour rush only to...

that first glimpse of the Center as the canoe reaches the opening to the lagoon is absolutely AMAZING!! something so unexpected. The cabins are clean and tastefully furnished. The food is really good considering how hard they have to work to provide all those amazing meals. EVERYTHING has to come on that 2 hour motorboat ride up the Napo river...

The story behind this place is really interesting, it is owned and run by the local community who used to hunt and survive in the Amazon basin. Today they run a very welcoming base to see this part of the Amazon basin and concern themselves with protecting the environment of the area. The journey there makes you feel you are...

This is a little piece of 5 star paradise in the heart of the Amazon jungle. Attention is paid to every little detail to make your stay the most enjoyable and comfortable possible, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The choice of food at each meal was excellent, and of high quality. Our guide David was amazing. There...

Wow wow wow! This place/program is absolutely amazing. From our amazing guides (naturist guide Marco, local guide Jorge), to our canoe paddler (Carlito), to all the restaurant and other staff, the service is second to none. Everything we asked was addressed immediately. Even without asking all the details were well thought of. Our suite was beautiful and immaculate on a...

Our 4 days at Napo were full of exciting wildlife of every sort. We were looked after brilliantly from our arrival at the airport throughout our stay until we had been returned to Quito. The food was wonderful, the cabin was well equipped and comfortable and the guides ensured that we saw as much wildlife as there was to see....

We stayed in a junior suite which was a semi detached building on stilts set into the edge of the lake. The room was huge with a balcony both front and back so offering wonderful views of the lake. The room felt spacious even with a sofa and large wardrobe (no hangers). Wood was very much in evidence and there...

I can't say anything negative about the accommodations, food, staff, atmosphere. My wife and I visited this summer (last week of August). This was the dry season and it was, well, dry! The lodge is in a prime area for bird watching and the canopy tower & parrot clay licks are a huge highlight. The guides are very knowledgeable about the wildlife and are very keen spotters, they found birds hiding in thick foliage I never would have seen. The bungalow was very nice and peaceful.
