The YARINA Eco Lodge is strategically located in an area of forest that counts on the highest diversity of micro-habitats in the Napo area, this means that there are more species of animals, birds, reptiles and insects than else where in Napo river and surrounded. Welcome to the fantastic world at the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Nice place. Great staff. Just set your expectations. If you are also visiting the Galapagos on this trip, come to Yarina first. The animals are everywhere in the Galapagos, but here you have to search for animals. It can make for some long days because your guide will look and look for critters.

We loved our stay here. The lodge is in the middle of the jungle. You can sit on the balcony, have a beer and watch monkeys crossing the river. Everyone who works here is so incredibly nice and helpful. Our guide Christian took us out on amazing walks through the jungle during the day and at night. We also explored the river. He was so knowledgeable about the plants, animals and especially birds. The chef here is so talented. All of the meals were delicious. We were traveling with kids and everyone had an incredible time.

What a wonderful way to experience the Amazon here. Many thanks to Wilson for guiding us, we learned a lot from him. All the staff were very friendly, thanks to the cook for his delicious meals and not forget William for his good service! We had a very nice clean and spacious cabin with a beautiful vieuw. Hiking and exploring the rivers and waterways by boat was great. We had a wonderful time here!!

We recently spent 3 nights/4 days at this resort. The grounds and staff are very nice, especially the Manager, Pato; however, the food is awful. It is all carbs, no protein and mostly frozen vegetables. We were given spaghetti and rice for lunch, a small portion of meat for dinner with potatoes and more rice. Rice and potatoes everyday. The website advertised an evening activity every night. Our last night our guide advised after dinner there would be no activity that night. Not sure why, the weather was perfect. There's also nothing to do during the day. Morning activity (walk) finished at 1030am, and we didn't go out again until 430. I found this place incredibly overpriced for what we got - poor food, a cabin that needed renos and limited activities. I'd skip it altogether or pay more to go further up river.

We were thrilled with our Amazon trip at Yarina! The grounds were gorgeous and the surrounding forest was lush and full of unique plants, animals, and birds. Our guide, Eduardo, was knowledgeable and made the activities so much fun. Food was really good and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I loved to stay at Yarina. It was really the break I needed from the city life, as it was very calm and relaxing. Our guide, Eduardo, was very good too. The food was delicious! And the rooms were very comfy for being in the Amazon. I was just expecting to see more animals but that has nothing to do with the lodge. I mean you’re in the Amazon, after all, anything can happen!

The lodge is located in a unique, remote area but still provides important amenities to guests. We felt safe and comfortable at all times, and the food was excellent. The lodge provides rubber boots but check if you take a very large size. I brought insoles and that felt better on my feet during our jungle walks. Bring a good flashlight for the night walks (about 8:30 pm) and to navigate between the lodge and cabins after dark. Also, bring a waterproof cover for your phone if it is your flashlight or camera, it rains often and even afterwards there are drops coming off the leaves. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. We used the mosquito net and spray although we didn’t see many mosquitoes at all. Our guide, Winston, was helpful and knowledgeable. We also really enjoyed the company of the other guests and the family style meals. Boat pickup and boat excursions were good. We actually saw Reventador erupting ash plumes, 100 km away, from the Napo River while on a bird watching excursion!

This lodge is absolutely beautiful and clean. The service is remarkable. The food is super yummy and presented on the plate like in a 5 star restaurant. Our guide Wilson was super nice and knowledgeable and was very attentive to our requests. The cabins were super clean and absolutely beautiful with a view to the jungle. They offered lots of wonderful nature activities. We had a blast! We highly recommend coming here!

A visit like this is not only about the place, but people as well. And I can clearly tell you that the staff was amazing. The English-speaking guide was really great in everything, guiding us with a lot of knowledge, being friendly, and patient, and adjusting plans as we wish. The food was great. All times was hot/cold water available. Electricity was stable and connected to the grid. In the Airport, other travelers who were in another lodge came to me asking where I was and if I liked it. I think, they had trouble. I am happy that I chose the right place for this unique visit. Thank you. I post videos of my visit on my TikTok mabbasi_of beginning of yesterday 25/12. You can take a look and build your own opinion.
