To start with the good: the location is beautiful. It's a 10-15 minute walk into town, which is a nice walk on the beach, and far removed from the center, which is chaotic, noisy and kind of tacky (I probably wouldn't need to go to Montanita again). Instead, the hotel's location is peaceful, with both beachfront and pool loungers—a great...

Situated at a beautiful place, directly in ocean front. Relaxing and calm - perfect for sleeping during the night Beautiful sunsets. Rooms are okay and clean. Service in the restaurant could be more professional. The breakfast is really poor.

It is a great place and our favorite when we go to Montañita. The rooms are comfortable but they need a bit more of maintenance, light fixtures rusted, power cords hidden, outside paint, etc. for the amount paid per night, this should be taken care of. Access to the Internet is a weak point. However, what makes this place outstanding...

We stayed for two nights, during off season. The room was basic but comfortable. We had a nice view of the pool and beach. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast was good with made to order omelettes, fresh fruit and bread. Our dinners were very good as well. The only issue we ran into was wine only...

It's a perfect place if you look for calm place, far away from noise of discos with pool, free parking. Be careful with type of room you choose. Preferably is deluxe rooms and royal suits. These are just remodeled.

We arrived early and they couldn't accommodate an early check in, so no biggie we waited the three hours, paid $3.50 a beer and when it was finally time to check in the guy was slow as molasses - we upgraded to the delux room and all we got was the vista de banos (avoid room 205) I complained and...

Montañita is located in the province of Santa Elena, located in the famous "Ruta del Sol"; Montañita takes its name from being located in a cove surrounded by hills and greenery at the foot of the sea, like a valley with a nice wide beach, today is a tourist resort visited by mostly young foreigners looking for fun and night...

Beautiful property in a fantastic location at the end of the beach, close enough to walk to town in a few minutes, but far enough away from the consistent rave music that plays loudly in the center of town. Our room was very clean and well laid out. We had large balcony as well, from which we could watch some...

Stayed here for three nights over Christmas. Positives: Location is the best! It is nice to be down at the quiet end of the beach. You are not bothered by the constant late night beat you would hear if you were closer to town. Very nice staff, especially Johnnie the bartender (who make some of the best bloody marys and...
