We spent 3 nights here during carnival and should have stayed longer. This place is like camping on the beach in some Gilligan Islands huts. We loved it. Nice, safe, grounds right on a great beach for playing in the waves. We would come back here. Very comfortable atmosphere. One of the only places in town with shade. Nice caretakers. Be sure to confirm reservation a few days before you arrive. (Even if your reservation says "confirmed")This is standard practice along the coast, especially around holidays. This place is a nice distance from town so that it is quiet at night, yet close to all the restaurants and great music etc. in town.

I won't anybody recommend to stay at this accomodation. The worst thing is that the rooms without aircondition are very humid and smell very bad. We couldn't sleep at all because it just was so uncomfortable. Also it is not very clean. There were hair in the bed and everywhere was sand. When I asked to change the sheets the staff was very unfriendly. The "receptionist" gave us a special deal (5$ less), the cleaning lady then told us that it's way to low and we don't get breakfast because of that and we need to clean the kitchen completely after using it. We didn't feel welcomed at all. Also there was this bar (James bar) at the premise. There were the same drunkheads every night, watching american TV very loud. We didn't feel comfortable and didn't enjoy sitting on our terace

I stayed here with my friends for a week in semana santa it was amazing. Mary and Guillermo are the best they took care of us very well and always the best breakfast. The best part of it all was having a beach view at all times and hanging out with James and his friends at LA PLAYA DE JAMES. This bar is the perfect hangout and you get to meet a lot of people from everywhere. James cooks great food and also very good burgers plus the great attention. By far it was the perfect vacation very far away from all the fuzz and noise in montañita but if this is what you seek it is only a 10 minute walk away.

I adore this place, it is a set of bungalows situated just in front of the beach, it is very clean and it has all commodities you need (No TV) , it has its own pub "Toda la Vida" managed by James, a very nice Canadian guy who makes a wonderful and tasty BBQ every night (No Sundays, you can use the grill for your own BBQ), and the people who comes here makes you feel that you are in Honolulu not in Ecuador, it is a magical place. The staff is very nice (Mary, Guillermo and their granddaughter) and they are aware to take care of your needs every moment. The breakfast is simple but delicious (bread, eggs, coffee and juice). You have a bunch of hamacas and place to be relaxed and read, practice yoga or playing table or card games. It is close to the craziness of the town but no

Situated in front of the Beach (in the south of the town, where the waves aren't good for surfing). Has HOT water and a shared kitchen. The common areas are nice. far away from the noice of the party. It's 6 blocks from the downtown (the las three blocks you'll feel that you are in a shanty town....) eventhough the place is pretty safe (I guess). Half of the cabins have air conditioning, the other half have fans. The beach in that area is far away from the "party" is quiet. The breakfast it's ok (eggs, croissants, juice, coffee), isn't too big. To conclude I would recommend it, the cabins are beauty, sleeping with the sound of waves is the best way to sleep. If you are going to surf it's far away from the point. The weather in January-February it's cloudy rainy !!!!!!! :( It's
