We loved this place and we strongly recommend it! Great location in the main avenue, close-by the choco-tour, the colibríes & butterflies zoo, a.o. They prepare delicious food and it has a relaxing atmosphere. We slept on the river side, a fantastic soothing effect to rest all night through.
We love this place! The rooms are romantic and the food and drinks are delicious. Highly recommend visiting here, it’s right in the main drag and there is daytime noise but it gets quiet at night. Great views and my partner loved the artesianal beer
Our Family of four, 2 kids 11 & 9, stayed at the Dragonfly in Mindo for 5 nights in late October. The stay couldn't have been better. The Hotel is clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts were great. The management and staff helped with any questions we had. I would recommend Mindo as a whole for broad based activities. In addition to doing 2-3 activities per day we also ended up hiking about 9KM per day too. We could have taken more cabs but the temperatures were perfect for walking/hiking to different spots.
We stayed here 2 nights after getting stuck in Mindo during the protests. It is hard to imagine a better place to be stuck! The staff took great care of us, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. We particularly liked watching the birds from the restaurant balcony.
I love the vibe of the Dragonfly Inn's rooms -- all that wood and white, the balcony with a colorful hammock swing, the creek rushing by out the window. We found the room to be just the right size for two. The bathroom is a little dark (you won't be able to do your makeup in there), but the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the concierge working while we were there was so helpful -- he got us a taxi when we needed it and was available to answer all questions. The rooms do get a little warm (this shouldn't surprise you in August in Mindo) and it's just my suggestion that Dragonfly might pop some tabletop fans into the rooms for its guests. Not a deal breaker, though! As other reviewers have said, it can sometimes be noisy, since the rooms are right over the Mindo streets -- we unfortunately dealt with a neighbor's barking puppy during our stay. Obviously, that's not Dragonfly's fault, but if you stay here (and you should), bring ear plugs. I think that's a sensible recommendation for travelers anywhere! Given Dragonfly's price, location, general room comfort, and service, I would recommend it to anyone passing through the little paradise of Mindo. I wish I could go back.…
