The beach and pool are amazing. The service and staff are very good as well. Most of the days Glauco took care of us at the bach/pool and he was spot on. We got a Suite 5 estrelas, and from the room, even at night, we could hear some noise from the street, but when we spoke with front desk they were able to move us to a much quieter room. Again, not only the hotel is very good, but the staff and services were also as impressive. We got the gourmet package, which includes dinners and we believe it was totally worth it. The food overall for dinner, lunch, or breakfast is very good. In a week we did not feel we had to get out for anything. Something else that was really cool is that if you get a bottle of wine and dont finish it, they keep it cooled for you on their wine fridge and bring it back anywhere you want to keep drinking. Strongly recomend in general.…
Certainly not a 5-star hotel as they advertise it, but it is the best you can get in Brazil. The infrastructure is very good, the decoration is really amazing, the service is okay. It is really in front of the beach, but note that in Brazil beaches are never private to the hotels’ guests. The restaurants are all more or less the same, and there is no dress code. It is not like in top tier resorts where each restaurant has an unique unforgettable experience to offer and people dress up to visit them. The hotel does not offer robes or flip flops. There is also no gym. They have a green terrace that is not obvious to find but is a good space for sports and yoga. Breakfast is very good.
Loved every part of it. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and the food! The sushi bar is worth to try, the fish is always fresh and the quality is overwhelming. Staying relaxed at the pool or on the beach will leave you heartbroken when you’ll have to get back to reality!
Everything about this place is magical. From the staff to the facilities, my friends and I really loved everything about our stay. It was my honeymoon and the staff gave us a few treats and we could not be happier. The vibe, music, food, drinks, and accommodations are top of the line. Shout out to Andrea for being so kind to us. I can't wait to be back!
The hotel is beautiful with a great pool area and beach bar. The overall facilities are great apart from hotel not having a gym. We were disappointed by the room “5 star suite”. Our room was dark, had a view towards the main road. The noise from the road was aweful even during night time. The service personnel gave us the wrong room to start with and we were surprised to see someone else walk in to our room ( something that really should never occur).
I won't recommend this hotel to anyone who is a first timer at Ilha Bela and someone who appreciates calm and hearing sea views from their room instead of noisy motor vehicles from the street. Specially to those who expects the beach to be flat (and not slanting), so that your knees won't get hurt when you walk on it - it's noting like Bertioga, Juquehy and Sao Lourenco beaches. The website to book this DPNY at Hotels.com is "very deceiving" and "super vague", as it showed nice rooms but when we booked it stated a "5-star suite, at the Annex Building"! Who the heck knows what it means by Annex Building? As it turns out this Annex Building wasn't shown in map, and it is NOT located inside the main beach property but behind the main resort - separated by a national road, which means it's extremely NOISY and no seaview - you won't heard he sea waves but the noisy vehicles passing by (loud motorcycles). We didn't know that there are 11 categories in such a hotel and if we only had known, we would never spend my birthday celebration in this hotel. It's a total disappointment, although I must say the staff probably did their best to give us a room on the second floor of the Annex Building. I am not used to motorcyle and vehicles with loud music and engine passing by the road. As a world traveller, I won't recommend this hotel to anyone else. We will try to cut our stay here and see if we could only stay for two nights instead of four nights without paying any penalties. Standby how this will all unfold. The hotel Vista Bela, where we were before DPNY was much better even though it didn't carry a 5 star rating. Lastly like Marriott or any US hotel chains, they have a coffee machine in the room, but you have to pay for each capsule that you consume, I am an Ambassador with Marriott and Platinum with the Intercon Group. Paying for coffee in the room was really the funniest moment in this hotel. I sure wish the staff here are well treated with the revenue margins this hotel is racking up.…
It was six years ago since we discovered this piece of paradise on Ilhabela. DPNY has everything you can possibly dream of to get away from it all, to relax and re-energize: outstanding beauty in design, located at the end of a golden sandy beach which you basically have all for yourself, outstanding service provided by very well trained staff, perfect food and great drinks. Since then we take every chance we have to escape to paradise..... and you should do as well!
DPNY remains as one of the best beach resorts out there. The place is friendly, beach front and with great staff overall. Compared to my first visit they started charging for parking, which is a bummer and service was a little slow, but nothing that cannot be repaired. I’m already planning to go back.
The beach is incredible. Restaurants are both really great! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. The scenery is impressive. Everything was perfect for us. We would stay here again next time and recommend this resort to our friends and family.
DPNY is a special place however you do always have keep in mind that you are in a third world country and you have to let the small things go.. Better yet enjoy the fun sometimes quirky things that can happen. I reserved the Presidential Suite and it's huge with two bedrooms and two full baths. Living, Dining, Entertainment room and an inside jacuzzi, with wrap around balcony's.. The suite is very colorful and the staff could not be more accommodating. The manager Nathalia Yumi made our stay even more delightful.. She would recognize us coming and made sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. Many of the staff don't speak english and she was a huge help. The beach is incredible. The restaurants are both really great and again the staff made all the difference in the world. It was great to go the beach and have the beach attendant remember everyday and what you were drinking and eating.. making our stay here really wonderful. They don't allow children and even though I love kids.. sometimes it's great to be in a beautiful setting and hanging at a beautiful pool without the screaming and playing of yound children. I love this place and can't wait to go back …
