After reading the existing reviews, I thought I was safe with this choice, but that turned out not to be the case. I was supposed to stay 5 nights and only managed one. granted, we arrived at tarija at high season right before crismes and taeija isn't cheap to begin with. still, 80 bol per person after discount is a lot for muchilleros like us but everything was full so we stayed two nights a side the price the hostel is very much the level of en hotel so if you have the...

This is not a five star by any means but is a nice and comfortable place to stay if you find yourself having the good fortune of visiting the charming city of Tarija in Bolivia. Great hostal. We checked out a few before choosing this one and a lot of them were dark, dingy and overpriced. This one cost 220 bolivianas for the top floor room with a lounge-verandah, including free wi-fi in the room and great breakfast choice. Staff were helpful. “Go to the upper floor, there you have a small living room and nice rooms which are cheaper, so it is like staying in your own place and you can share the "living room" with your friends staying in the other rooms. It is a long way down though.”
