I have written several great reviews on this resort over the years and it still remains one of our all time favorites! This trip we spent most of our trip using our Marriott points at two other properties so we were here for the minority of our trip. From the minute we walked in the level of service reminded me of why we always keep coming back here. There are several remodeling projects that were done since our last visit: the new hot tub and upgraded cabanas were fantastic! We had received both our covid shots and felt comfortable with the hotels covid protocols. Loved the outdoor dining at Ko with our favorite hostess Sylvia and best ever server Drew. A special thanks to the General Manager Michael Pye and Director of Operations Christopher Smart for going above and beyond when I needed special assistantance.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fairmont. We've been to Wailea several times in the past and always loved the area, but this was our first time staying at Fairmont. We were pleasantly surprised by everything, from the facilities, to the large rooms (all suites?), and the memorable and hospitable staff. The restaurants were also pretty good. We had an ocean front suite, which had a large balcony, a separate bedroom and living room (with sofa bed for the kids), and both rooms had a gorgeous view of the ocean, beach and gardens between the ocean and the rooms. We had an awesome expedition on an outrigger, which was free and included for all guests. We were hosted by 2 wonderful guys, Ralph and Sol, who were super nice and funny. We did some great snorkeling off the outrigger in some gorgeous clear waters right next to the rocky parts of the ocean near the hotel, with a turtle swimming by us. The little beach rentals shack had some really nice staff as well. Most notably Wil, who was also super kind and welcoming us every single day. He was also very helpful on multiple occasions, noticing my sunburns and giving me some aloe to help with healing, which was very soothing. He also helped us find our son who we lost briefly. Wil was perhaps the most hospitable person at the hotel, even more so than the front desk folks, who were also quite hospitable. We definitely look forward to returning to Wailea, and will very likely go back to Fairmont again.…
We live on island and have stayed here several times pre-COVID. It was wonderful to see that the service has not been compromised due to the pandemic. The hotel has done a good job adjusting to the pandemic. Social distancing rules were in place everywhere. Restaurant capacity was limited but the outlets are set up for outdoor seating. We couldn’t get a restaurant reservation due to the limitation but that was fine. Placed a take-out order from Kō for dinner, and enjoyed a drink at the bar while waiting for our food to be prepared. The food was great! The staff at the front desk (Ashley and Tami) were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our Villa unit was just amazing and felt like home. Housekeepers were thorough and gracious. We had the BEST time at the pool! Allen and his crew were so friendly and made sure we had fun even when the clouds and rain rolled in. Our pool server Breezy was terrific as well! HANDS DOWN, my favorite pool on island!!! If you stay here, get a cabana. Well worth the cost. Can’t wait to go back again!!! …
Yoga mats are so dirty, I wiped them, they are black. Renting kayak and surf board is not free, need to pay hourly, but in Fairmont Big Island it is included. No Snorkel rental service, very inconvenient, Four Seasons provide it. I lost a pair of shorts in the room, hotel said they can't find it, it was under a bunch of towels and they wash their towels in house, it disappeared. You need to wait very long time for breakfast, the arrangement is not efficient. Otherwise, the room is spacious, the location is awesome, the pools are better than Four Seasons, Ko is very good restaurant.
Our family just spent five nights at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui and had an amazing time. The staff was fantastic and so helpful. Kudos specifically to Front desk Rachel and Tara and all the shuttle drivers! Our house keeper (room 481) was also super great! Thank you very much to all the staff for making the stay so wonderful!
