We had a great stay at the Andaz! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to our departure. The resort was extremely clean and never felt crowded. Definitely recommend the sea turtle excursion on the outrigger canoe and the onsite Luau! We wish we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here for our honeymoon and had the best time. Beautiful resort, great staff, clean. Complimentary car service. The ocean view room was wonderful. Eat at the restaurant there (Morimoto) for dinner and get the sticky ribs!
The Andaz grounds are beautiful and it's location is great! Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our only complaint is that the rooms were small, (especially the bathroom) and the seating in the room and on the balcony were very uncomfortable.
Beautiful views, several incredible pools and a very hot tub. There are several dining options at the resort and the lobby area is breathtakingly beautiful. Resort is easily accessible to the public beach which has huge waves-great for body surfing or boarding. Chaise lounges and umbrellas are set up for resort guests. Unfortunately the snorkel equipment can only be used till 2 pm and several other resort perks end before check in time of 4 pm. This is disappointing since you pay a resort fee of $48 a day but unable to use most of the items you are paying for! We brought our own snorkels from home and snorkeled around the reef area to see several fish and a few turtles. Use of fins and a floating noodle would have made the experience better. Beds were very comfortable. Our room had a partial ocean view from the balcony. The room had a small refrigerator and a few snacks provided as part of pricey resort fee.…
Pros: - their concierge Nikki is so kind and goes above and beyond to help. Her private charter suggestion was truly the best we have ever taken. -massage was great - The lobby is pretty and open Unfortunately, our good experience ended there. Cons: We chose the hotel as we used to stay here when it was the renaissance and we like that it's smaller compared to the other properties in wailea however- it cannot come close to the rooms or service of other properties like the four seasons or the renaissance. - when checking in and arriving to our room- we were missing 3 bags that hadn't been brought up and chaos ensued. It was realized they weren't removed from our car. I had wanted to supervise while they emptied the car but the bellman kept telling me they would take care of it… - the suite was 1000% not nice enough to warrant the nightly rate. We noticed a sticky substance on the floor of the bathroom that neither of us had used. Maintenance was sent up and did everything to blame it on us rather then try to fix the issue. Then the cleaning crew washed the floor with dishwashing liquid and a dry cloth which only made the floor more slippery and sticky. I had to try to clean the floor myself with hand sanitizer wipes and towels to make it safer. I did complain to a manager who seemed unconcerned. - my elderly mother fell when entering the bathroom as the shower surround sticks out so far her foot caught. - they sent security up when I called for medical help. It was very clear he had little concern for my mom and wanted to cover their asses. He wasn't receptive nor did he listen to anything I told him. Then he asked me to bring her down for the medics to see her and was dismayed when I said they needed to come up to her. - both the fire dept and the medics relayed to me that this wasn't the first time they were called to the hotel for similar falls and that the bathrooms are hazardous. - We ended up spending 6 hours in an ER for her broken nose! I asked before doing so if there was a concierge doc that could provide care and imaging- I was told no. If informed correctly we could have spared the cost, the germs, and the time for mediocre care. We have since moved to the four seasons who has connected me with a doc who would have done exactly as I requested. - I asked for a manager to call me- no one did. - finally spoke with a manager after arriving back and requesting twice more. She apologized, negated what the medics said, and just let us out of our reservation early. Honestly- after all the issues I was surprised I needed to point out I felt something more should be offered. She did then take $300 off of our stay however, this seems like an easy way out and way too little when the suite itself was $2600. Especially when we have medical bills to pay for because of the negligence in design and frankly unsafe floor. I let them know that I was traveling with my elderly mom, who has stage 4 cancer and a fractured sacrum. I wish I had realized the poor bathroom design sooner, I did not. This hotel is just not elderly or handicap friendly and they should really let people know that ahead of time. I hope they can improve things for future guests, at the very least! They are priced and advertised as luxury but at the core they just aren't. At the end of the day, had the bathroom floor been designed better and cleaned/treated properly, this injury may have been prevented. Sadly this wasn't the case and while offering compensation would have been the right thing to do- they did not do so. I hope they will choose to make it right soon.…
The Andaz at Maui is such a beautiful and clean resort. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. My fiance and I absolutely loved their breakfast buffet and we recommend the wagyu burger at the bar! 10/10!
We stay there in 4 days, and the experience is good. The staff is pretty friendly and room is clean and comfortable. Pool and beach service is perfect. Will book again if having chances in the future.
If I have a chance I would go again! The people were very accommodating and very respectful. Location of the resort was spot on. The food was amazing, there was not anything that I would change. The pools were very comfortable and the staff tending the pool were very professional.
Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. However, everything is built for short people including drawers and lights and low toilet. The rooms with ocean views are okay and otherwise you'll be looking at a garden. Drinks poolside and restaurant food is overly expensive but good. The daily rate advertised is not what you're charged after multiple taxes and fees are included. There is a good lap pool for swimmers which was a plus for me.
Not friendly Can’t really use the amenities for the hotel No one explaining anything Just want to charge without giving a good service Had an issue with my reservation they were not getting it right Had to explain and send emails for everything regarding my reservation to get what I paid for Extra charges
