Checked in at night with the sullen clerk who looked me in the face and promised the internet was good. Not even slow... it was non-existent. In spite of a weekday, a near-empty parking lot was told the available room was a king size bed, which is fine, which is fine but I

The room was cool and dark, which is good in the summer (stayed in late June) and the beds were comfortable though I wish you could access the back of the hotel from your room. Our room had a large fenced patio, but when you sit there you can't see the water - which is why we

Hotel El Morro is always our go to stop traveling south into Baja. It sits right on the water, rooms include breakfast, parking is sufficient, rooms are large, and always clean. As is typical in Baja, the shower heads are archaic at best, but water is hot, well, in Mexico, it

our room #37, decent but bathroom shower ..... uh....
room nearby being renovated
We used a credit card to pay for our room at the Hotel El Morro. It was $42 for, if I remember correctly, two queen beds. I don't know if you can use American dollars there... nor do I know if you could exchange dollars for pesos. I'm remembering that communicating with the hotel staff here was a bit more challenging than at nearly every other place we stayed on our length-of-Baja-and-back drive... my Spanish could use some improvement! I apologize for the delay in answering your question; I didn't see your alert until today.

Hello... I apologize for not seeing your question any sooner. You maybe have made a reservation by now. I've found two different phone numbers for Hotel El Morro: one from google, 52 615 152 0414 and this one from the hotel's website: 01(615)1520414 (which appears to be a Tennessee area code!?). The website also has an email address. We stayed there on a Monday evening in April without making a reservation; I don't think the hotel was half full.

I hope I am answering this in the right location. We did not make reservations last spring -- it was the first week of May, a week night. Our room was oceanview. We paid less than $45 in American money. I don't remember there being a lot of cars, so I assume there were plenty of vacant rooms the night we were there.

Are pets welcome?
Sorry -- I just found this. I don't know if pets are welcome.

"Most seaside rooms had a view from the patio, but the waterfront is not accessible through the room. Rooms on the highway would be noisy."
"Far as I know all rooms are ocean view."
"ocean view room"
"Room 37 was good but no view of the water"
