I stayed here in Feb 2020 as part of a photo workshop tour (Peter Turnley Cuba Workshops). This was a fantastic place to stay. The room was spacious & clean and well kept. The house itself is beautiful and is right on the bay with spectacular sunset views. The hostess, Marilyn, Is a warm, friendly person who makes sure your stay is wonderful. Breakfast is fabulous and done to your taste - the best in Cuba! Don't skip it! I would stay here again without hesitation!
Great location by the bay. Super breakfast and service from Diane. Spacious room with two large and comfortable beds. It is not advisable to swim outside the Casa, but Diane arranged for transport to the nearest beach - by the coast- and let us keep our room an extra hour so we could have a shower before catching the bus to Trinidad. We thoroughly recommend this Casa.
The Casa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac right on the water front. From the varanda the views are beautiful. We didn't swim from here but other guests went directly into the water in front of the house. Marilyn is a very warm and helpful hostess, who speaks very good English. We had excellent breakfasts 5 Cuc, and one of the best meals in Cuba cooked by her husband. The Casa is close to Punto Gorda and there are several bars with live music nearby. Our room was quite small with a fridge, fan, air conditioning but no safe. However the Casa seemed quite secure to us so it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed our 2 nights here and visited El Nicho waterfalls c. 1 hour drive.
We stopped here one night as an overnighter between Havana and Trinidad and were very pleasantly surprised at this beautiful Casa overlooking the sea/river into Cienfuegos. Our room for 3 was lovely with 2 double beds and more than adequate air conditioning and fan. The en-suite was modern and clean. The owners were really friendly and we were served a coffee or alternatively a cocktail on arrival, which we sat and drank overlooking the water. Services at this Casa include washing, booking tours and evening meal, which we wished we knew in advance as we would have eaten here had we not booked a restaurant up the road earlier. Breakfast was served on the decking overlooking the water - heaven! This truly is an excellent Casa with lovely and helpful owners. You won’t be disappointed if you stop here.…
We spent 2 nights at Sol Bahia and could not have had a warmer welcome from Marilyn, who was always on hand whenever we needed her. The property is in a lovely spot, looking straight onto the bay of Cienfuegos and the terrace is a great tranquil spot for a drink watching the sunset after the bustle of the city centre. The rooms are simply furnished but comfortable, with good showers and air con. We also had a great evening meal here and would highly recommend this Casa.
