We stayed at Villa Lagarto for three nights in February 2014. We had a lovely comfortable king-size bed, with two rocking chairs outside (room 2). Although it was quite busy at times with tours coming to the restaurant to eat, this did not affect our stay at all. We spent quite a lot of time there relaxing, (without feeling that...

Lovely location and lovely room. We arrived on Valentines night and it was a good place to stay for a bit of romance. The restaurant was busy and they had gone to the trouble of having a Huge floral heart to create some ambience. For dinner we also all got a FULL size Valentines cake per couple!! The good was...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Firstly, this is not a casa. It is boutique style restaurant with 3 rooms. Cannot fault the rooms, comfortable, big with hammocks on patio area. Unfortunately we had alot of large ants as there were alot of foliage around. Bathroom was okay but toilet stunk of drain and we had no fridge, have stayed...

I suppose this is one of those places in the world highlighting how different opinions can be. Location: Seems to be not that far away from Cienfuegos centre, but to be honest, on a blistering midday, it was a bit of a pain to walk by the main road, not much to see apart from a couple of fast food...

At the end of the Playa Gorda, this place is a welcome getaway from the city. Rooms are great, with balconies, good shower and bed. Food is excellent as well. Staff is really helpful. We also enjoyed the beds at the bay deck from the casa, and the public park sunsets nearby. A small inconvenience might be the music from...

This is more of a cool little hotel than a Casa. It's located south of the town but in a great position so you're not missing much. Its right on the water front (the water is a little dirty but there's a plunge pool on site) and there's a great deck to sit out on. Very mellow tree level deck with...

Beautiful place, with 3 rooms, big balcony next to sea, restaurant at first floor, nice athmosphere. The best breakfast we got at Cuba, compared different casas. Only thing, the restaurant was at evenings quite crowded, in the other hand, well organized restaurant business - well-done!

I had an opportunity to dine at Villa Lagarto with a group of fellow travelers. Since it was fairly dark when we arrived, we were not able to see just how lovely the lush grounds are, but we enjoyed a very good, very sumptuous meal, along with the usual selection of national beverages. Service was attentive, and the staff very...

This was our second visit to Villa Lagarto in the last 10 months and we will be back there in March 2014. There's truly no other place in Cienfuegos that comes close in terms of location, atmosphere, quality of food, and gracious service. Villa Lagarto is located at the tip of the Punta Gorda peninsula so it's surrounded by water....

First things first, Villa Lagarto is not a Casa (if this is important to you.) However, it is the perfect place to stay if you want to chill out and relax during your time in Cienfuegos. We stopped off here on our way from Habana to Trinidad and though there is very little to do in the city it is...
