This restaurant was a lunch stop on our brief tour of Cienfuegos en route to Trinidad. It is in fact also a hotel. The staff was delightful and very welcoming. The food was Cuban and more delicious than most places. I had a lamb dish that was over the top for tenderness and seasoning along with black beans and a... More

Almost at the tip of Punta Gorda with a deck overlooking the harbour, this restaurant has an excellent location and great service. We hadn't booked so could not sample the delicious looking platefuls that wafted passed us as we sat at the bar with our magnificent daiquiris. Unfortunately we had only one night in Cienfuegos so no chance to try... More

We were recommended this place from a friend. They described a little family run place and told us they had a great time with the owner. They even asked us to pass on a message from them. What we experienced however was more of a mini hotel. There seemed to be about 20 staff running the place and the owner... More

Stayed one night. Rooms and Ensuite clean. Small but comfortable. Staff really very helpful. Friendly. They make a Great Cuba Libra! Drinking them on the small jetty watching the sun set. Good place to stay, chill, recharge and eat if touring . Hammock a real bonus! Good value.

The rooms are clean and simple, with air con, but the restaurant is what makes this place. The food is the best we had in Cuba, mostly charcoal bbq, and the restaurant sits on the bay for a lovely view.

We stayed at the Hotel Jagua, but went here for lunch one day. It was an easy walk right along the water. Service and meals were very good. The setting right on the bay is really beautiful and sets a relaxing tone for a meal. Since it is open-air, there is no a/c but they have fans well placed so... More

We stayed 2 nights at Villa Lagarto and enjoyed our stay overall, however it was severely let down by the quality of the room. Positives: + great location with great views + comfortable seating areas with deck chairs/hammocks + great design and decoration + helpful staff and good service + food in the restaurant was excellent (both in the evening... This restaurant, associated with a nearby B&B, has an excellent kitchen and an excellent front-of-house staff, who team up make sure their diners enjoy more than the expansive view of Cienfuegos Bay. More delicious local lobster grilled, as they say, to perfection. Also shrimp, fish, and delicious ropa vieja. It's kind of hard to find, on a little peninsula in... More

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of DK Eyewitness and we were happy with this choice. It would be better if we had gone here for lunch so we can enjoy the views but it was fine. The restaurant itself is quite far from the center, about a 40 minute walk from the city center or you can... More

Nice place for lunch. It's right on the water and has beautiful views. The dock has lovely chairs to relax on as well. Food was good, we went there as part of or tour group and the staff was attentive. The drinks are good. We had the fresh fish. Try the tomato dip with the bread
