We stayed at the Hotel Jagua, but went here for lunch one day. It was an easy walk right along the water. Service and meals were very good. The setting right on the bay is really beautiful and sets a relaxing tone for a meal. Since it is open-air, there is no a/c but they have fans well placed so... More

We stayed 2 nights at Villa Lagarto and enjoyed our stay overall, however it was severely let down by the quality of the room. Positives: + great location with great views + comfortable seating areas with deck chairs/hammocks + great design and decoration + helpful staff and good service + food in the restaurant was excellent (both in the evening... This restaurant, associated with a nearby B&B, has an excellent kitchen and an excellent front-of-house staff, who team up make sure their diners enjoy more than the expansive view of Cienfuegos Bay. More delicious local lobster grilled, as they say, to perfection. Also shrimp, fish, and delicious ropa vieja. It's kind of hard to find, on a little peninsula in... More

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of DK Eyewitness and we were happy with this choice. It would be better if we had gone here for lunch so we can enjoy the views but it was fine. The restaurant itself is quite far from the center, about a 40 minute walk from the city center or you can... More

Nice place for lunch. It's right on the water and has beautiful views. The dock has lovely chairs to relax on as well. Food was good, we went there as part of or tour group and the staff was attentive. The drinks are good. We had the fresh fish. Try the tomato dip with the bread

Rooms 2 & 3 on 1st floor. Good size, hairdryers provided, good showers. One had a large double bed and one a standard double. Nice area outside for sitting with hammocks, greenery and a sea view. Stay was spoiled by service and food in the restaurant. Booked a table for 8pm when we arrived early afternoon. At no time were... More

Located on the sea front away from town centre a great place to stay, really friendly staff & owner, fantastic rooms, food in their restaurant is really good and I would recommend staying here. There is a pool, and in house restaurant frequented by locals and tourists as it is highly recommended. Breakfast is great sitting over looking the lagoon,... More

We stayed one night at Villa Lagarto. The rooms were nice, clean and confortable. The location was convenient with easy parking in front. The breakfast was good. The small terrace is nice for a drink. The service was efficient and friendly.

After a pedicab ride in a parade from the Hotel Jugua, the meal was quite good. We were with a tour group, as are most Americans. This was our second meal of teh trip and with all meals began with a mojito. The soup, and salad (which no one ate for fear of the fresh washed vegetables) then chicken or... More

Eighteen years ago we stayed at Villa Largarto by chance. The proprietors, (Maylin & Tony) couldn't have been more helpful and charming. Their B&B & Resturant is set in a magical botanical garden and right on the water. We have seen a true business grow from small & intimate to exciting activity without loosing it's intimacy. We have been there... More
