This paladar is right on the bay in Cienfuegos, with a view that is spectacular. The food was excellent, as was the service. The location is right at the end of the point (Punta Gorda), well worth finding your way there. I didn't get to see the hotel part, but what I saw of the place it was beautiful, clean...

we arrived in Villa Lagarto and were immediately welcomed by the staff. We sat on the scaffold with a cocktail, really nice welcome! There is a lot of staff in Lagarto and that makes it feel like a hotel! The rooms are nice, and you have a nice outdoor area you share with the other 2 rooms. The food is...

Good size room, great service. Very pleasant atmosphere. The view is amazing especially when having a breakfast . Could recommend it to anyone. The lady administrator (sorry can't remember her name) was very welcoming, she was very inexperienced, but tried her best and we really liked her, especially her English! She really understood everything we said!. The place had it's...

With a magical setting, attentive service and great food, this was a lucky find! At first, we were not aware that this gem of a restaurant hides away at the end of an alleyway next to the very last house at the peninsula! The CUC20 per person package makes it easy - you just choose a starter main and desssert...

Simple and comfortable room near the tip of Punta Gorda. We were happy to stay here for our 1 night in Cienfugoes as it was a Sunday and nearly everything in town was closed. Having the water on both sides is very nice and there is a dock/sitting area in the back. It is not a typical Cuban casa like...

Unfortunately, I have to give this property two stars due to a disappointing experience I had there over the holidays. I made reservations for two rooms, four people, in person at the hotel several days in advance. It looked like a nice place and I wanted to spend our final night in Cuba there. My group showed up at 6...

Watching the full moon rise over the bay was a welcome addition to this already welcoming restaurant. The food and service were excellent. There is a deck to enjoy the bay with or without a full moon.

Our group walked from Hotel Jagua to Villa Lagarto for dinner. It is built almost over the water on the very tip of the peninsula. Service was quite good, food was tasty. Most good food and service are a bit higher priced than you would expect in all of Cuba. However, any lower priced locations will have poorer service or...

This restaurant was a lunch stop on our brief tour of Cienfuegos en route to Trinidad. It is in fact also a hotel. The staff was delightful and very welcoming. The food was Cuban and more delicious than most places. I had a lamb dish that was over the top for tenderness and seasoning along with black beans and a...

Almost at the tip of Punta Gorda with a deck overlooking the harbour, this restaurant has an excellent location and great service. We hadn't booked so could not sample the delicious looking platefuls that wafted passed us as we sat at the bar with our magnificent daiquiris. Unfortunately we had only one night in Cienfuegos so no chance to try...
