Given all the comments we'd heard about Cuban hotels, we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room. It was large, with 2 double beds, linoleum tile on the floors, air conditioning that worked great, lovely view, and very large, relatively new bathroom. The place was very clean. And although the bedspreads and drapes weren't expensive looking, they were...

My group just stayed at the hotel, and all the rooms were good. No problems with air and we had hot water. We all had balconies with beautiful views. We loved going to Palacio de Valle next door for drinks, views of the sunset from the roof and a super band. Hotel had a good band in the evenings too....

-Average accommodations, -Huge amount of tourists from all over the world in a cafeteria/self serve style breakfast - My 1st ever criticism of an uncomfortable bed All that said, this is one of the few decent accommodations in Cienfuefo,

We stayed in this fine hotel for three nights on our recent trip to Cuba. It is in an excellent location close to restaurants, the coast, and several areas of interest. It is a multiple story hotel and most rooms have a balcony from which you can hear the morning roosters crowing, the turtledoves cooing, and dogs barking. The view...

Hotel built 1959, a disastrous time for a hotel. It survives intact, everything in 1950's style. Large rooms, "modern" furniture, tiled floors, spacious lobby, nice pool, small, interesting gardens. Many rooms accessed by open hallways with view to the bay. Fabulous location astride Punta Gorda peninsula, water on two sides, views of city. Loaded with tour groups. Restaurant is fairly...

One of 4 hotels we stayed in on a tour of Cuba. We had 3 nights here in a busy hotel that caters for lots of tour groups. Our room on the 3rd floor was good-- well serviced & everything worked. We had a good balcony with a view over the pool & bay. The Lobby was pleasant for a...

This is a pretty basic hotel, but not much to choose from in Cienfuegos. It feels like the 1960's. Nice location on bay with large pool and bar. The roosters at neighboring homes were right on schedule every morning! Rooms are Spartan with just the basics, bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Crappy pillows and thin blankets. Air conditioning works but it...

Jagua Hotel is located on a stunning peninsula surrounded by water and gorgeous views of the Caribean Sea. Its lobby is bright, airy and pleasant with plenty of green vegetation and colorful Cuban art on display. I stayed on the 8th floor and was marveled with the views from the open hallways and then from the balcony when I stepped...

Booked as a back up by Kuoni due to availability in another resort. This place is shocking, old, dirty, noisy. The pictures tell the story. The room really was filthy and I've seen better showers in Sunday football changing rooms. I stayed at Butlins two weeks before and the room was better! DO NOT stay here!

The rooms are pathetic. No washcloths, hand towels, or bathmat. Dim 1940's type lights. Warped sliding closet doors which took a lot of muscle to slide. No tissues and few toiletries. The shower hardware looks new but the clamp to the sprayer broke off so the sprayer just dangled. (Another couple had the same issue). Since the only way to...
