Our house is modern, with three floors, it is located in the center of the city, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are only 20 m from the sea, the Malecón and the Paseo del Prado. We live very close to the Historical Center, World Heritage Site. In our environment there are the restaurants Doña Nora, El Ocaso, the Big Bang coffee shop. You can also reach on foot only 20 minutes to the Chalet del Valle, Club Cienfuegos, Cabaret Costa Sur, recreational and nocturnal centers. The Vía Azul bus station for foreign tourists is located a short distance from the airport, it is only 15 minutes by car

Dr Lazaro and his family offered us a very warm welcome -the accommodation is in a quiet location but quite centrally located for the main sights of central Cienfuegos. we were lucky to have a room on the roof terrace floor so had fantastic views of the city and the bay the room was clean very well equipped and comfortable - the breakfast was tasty and plentiful we were only staying one night -and we wished we could have stayed for longer I thoroughly recommend this place to stay

The location is OK - very near the waterfront, but a pretty long walk into the centre of town. the room was large with an en suite, and was clean, but I thought rather dreary. There was a nice rooftop balcony, in fact two, but there seemed to be nowhere inside to sit around. The top balcony was quite a mission to reach, with a spiral metal stairs that required a spirit of adventure. There seemed to be quite a number of rooms. It is run by a surgeon and his wife. the doctor was welcoming - he spoke English but his accent was hard to understand. His wife could speak some English, but seemed was prepared to do it only when her husband was not around. I think for us language was an issue - we asked if we could get a beer or something, The doctor directed us to the neighbourhood restaurants, seemed nothing on offer in the place - it could be we misunderstood. The doctor offered to book a restaurant for us, which he recommended. When we got there, they knew who he was but said there was no booking. a very very long wait ensued, followed by service worthy of Basil Towers, although the food was good enough. Going by the other casas we stayed at, this was not great. Sorry to say this, as they seemed to be trying hard. I wouldn't say don't go there, it was clean and comfortable enough and given that our travel agents found excellent places for us in general, this may be one of the best or better ones in this town.

Dr Lazaro and his family run a great little place just a few minutes walk to the main sights of central Cienfuegos. Good breakfasts, clean comfortable room and nice roof terrace to eat and relax on. Welcoming and helpful hosts and winter sunshine; what more could you want?

Although we only stayed one night, our family of five were warmly welcomed by Dr Lazaro and Mabelys. The rooms were clean and comfortable and, once the thunderstorm had passed, we enjoyed the fantastic views of Cienfuegos from the terrace. Close to the Malacon, the hostal is in walking distance of both the Pueblo Nuevo and the Punta Gorda.
