    Was booked into this hostelry but instead of staying in the main mansion building, we were shown to a quite run down small hut block in the grounds. No fridge, no coffee making facilities, no safe, one chair but no table to put a laptop...More

    Booked a stay with their romantic weekend package. We stayed in room 27, Andrew Jackson, and it was perfect! Hal met us and told us where everything was and helped us to our room. He was so nice! There was champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries...More

    The grounds were beautifully landscaped. The Pond cottage were large enough. Victorian decor. Pictures of the people kinda creeped me out... The canopy linens were dirty and no mattress pad... Definitely not the cleanest hotel....

    Offcourse the house is great... but I am sure there are much more houses that have the same look. I saw some amazing other places too. Which are much smaller and give more personal touch. The Monmouth was for me already too... More

    Officially, I have no answer, but rumor has it there may have been paranormal activity/sightings in rooms 22 and 29. Both rooms are in buildings original to the property.
