I was a guest for the annual Christmas Tea. The family is very nice with three generations hosting the event. While there are numerous grand homes in Natchez, this is one of the earlier homes of the 1830s, so it reflects the style and building skills of earlier residents. It is centrally located, I walked from downtown to the house in less than ten minutes. After the tea we toured the home and saw the bedroom used for guests. Having stayed in numerous B&Bs, having a separate entrance, like this one has, is very beneficial. While I did not stay there, if the breakfast is as good as what they served at the tea, you should be fine.

Jackie gave us a warm welcome and showed us around explaining all the details in the room. We both had bikes. She was very accomodating and showed us where we could store them in her basement around the back. Very secure. Bringing them into the room itself could easily have damaged the decor and made it quite cramped. Easy walk to town.

My husband and I stayed in Magnolia Cottage Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights to attend a wedding in Natchez MS. Although I felt the pictures and description did not adequately describe this B&B, after our stay, I was very happy with our decision. This accomodations was large 2 rooms off of a private bungalow. The 2 rooms are large enough for table, small refrigerator and coffee station, queen sized bed, small sitting area with small couch, TV and writing desk, separate bathroom with tub/shower combination and large closet for luggage. The bed was high but very comfortable. The owner had a lot of amenities in the bathroom and the climate control was first rate. AC and heat were both used and appreciated! The hot breakfast, delivered at 8:30 AM, was very good-varied with an egg dish, meat, carb (grits or biscuits during our visit), orange juice and a fruit. The room had a tea and coffee making station. Although we were not in Natchez for tourist viewing, the little writing desk and magazine holder in the accomodation held lots lots of brochures and information on things to do and where to eat in Natchez. I would highly recommend Magnolia Cottage Bed and breakfast.

My husband and I wanted to travel to Natchez for our anniversary and chose to stay in Magnolia Cottage. The cottage was very quaint and clean and even had my favorite soaps! The hostess, Jackie was very gracious and a great cook! The location is very convenient to downtown Natchez. We will definitely be returning!

We lost $175 because the owner’s cell phone had gone dead! The day before we were to arrive, the owner sent us an email confirming our stay and we replied that we would arrive about 4pm. Along the road, we sent her another email saying when we would arrive. We followed that up with a call to her and left a message. When we arrived around 4pm, no one was home. We called her and left another message plus sent another email saying we were at the house. We waited 30 minutes, called and left another message. We drove by several times and never saw a new car in the parking slot. Finally, we went to eat. We called her again and left another message. About 6:30 we decided to look for another place to stay and made a reservation at a hotel. In all, we emailed her three times and called her six times. Finally at 7:15 she called us and said she was home. She said her cell phone had gone dead so she did not receive our calls or emails. She never offered to give us a refund or any money back. In fact, she screamed at us saying it was our choice to leave. We would not recommend staying here.

Wonderful southern hospitality and attention to detail. This Natchez cottage is in a central location and has beautiful linens, china and antique furnishings. The bed was comfortable with butter soft sheets and was crystal clean! The breakfast was delicious and included homemade strawberry scones. I will DEFINITELY be returning!

Lovely big room with very comfy bed and good facilities. Really close to town centre - walking distance which is always a real plus. Terrific breakfast especially the biscuits which were superb. On the down side - no pecan pralines or wine offered on arrival. In fact our welcome, whilst adequate and friendly enough, was a little perfunctory compared to most other b&bs we have stayed in. We were also disappointed to be the only guests and served breakfast in our room, as half the fun is meeting other people. Maybe we should have looked more closely at number of rooms. Pity as this place has some really good features.

We found ourselves in Natchez during the Pilgrimage and were lucky for be able to get a room at Magnolia Cottage. Check-in was not until 5 pm, so we walked along the river. Parking at Magnolia Cottage is free, but tight, The room was nice, with a good sized bathroom and closet area. The WiFi worked well. The TV channels are limited. Breakfast was excellent ... Jackie, our hostess, brought it to our room at 8:30 am sharp. I booked this B&B based on the rave reviews I had read. One thing no one seems to mention is that Magnolia Cottage is right on Hwy 61 Business route. Our room was perhaps 25 feet from the road.....

April 15-17, 2016 A relaxing & rejuvenating visit that we both plan to enjoy again & again! The breakfast brought to our room was a nice treat & delicious. The location was so close to all attractions. Parking had limited space (one guest vehicle & owners vehicle). The room was very nice with plenty of space & a large closet. Jackie is a wonderful hostess that exemplifies the Southern charms of Natchez!
