My wife and I stayed at Sunnyside to try something other than the standard motel/hotel. It's safe to say that there is no other place to stay in Natchez. Ms. Colleen is a delight and her dog Big is a teddy bear. The Bed & Breakfast has a wonderful personality and feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. We stayed in Fleur and our bed was very comfortable (I couldn't stop talking about how fresh they smelled). Colleen made the most wonderful breakfasts for us, chicken and waffles one day, quiche the next. Both were probably our favorite meals of the trip. Colleen is an exemplary hostess. We plan on going back soon!
We travel to Natchez at least once a year and sometimes 3 times a year. I noticed a new Antebellum home we had not visited before as it was just opened to the public. Am I ever thankful we took a tour. The owner gave a long and unhurried tour of the home. The furnishings and art were absolutely remarkably beautiful. The interior - there was a surprise of beauty in each room. The rooms for a stay look exceptionally comfortable. My wife and I appreciated the southern hospitality given us by the owner and I might add she is a walking text book regarding the history of this beautiful home . When we choose to stay in a B&B, this WILL be the place.
Everything was fabulous, the house, the room, the food, and of course Big. Ms Colleen is a wonderful hostess. She made us feel like we were home. I miss them already. We will definitely be back. Sunnyside was close to town and the things we wanted to see. The property was so pretty. My daughter can't wait for us to go. Thanks
After our first stay at Sunnyside, we knew that we had found our place for subsequent visits. We've stayed at multiple B&B's in the city, but we were treated like family at Sunnyside by our hostess Colleen. There is a reason that many of her guests are come back again and again. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms (she only has 3, so it's not overly crowded) all have en suites, and the home is comfortable and inviting. There are two rooms upstairs, which offer plenty of privacy since they are off on their own. The downstairs room feels a bit larger and has a nicer bathroom. Having stayed in both upstairs and downstairs rooms, I prefer the downstairs room. It's also closer to the kitchen;) I can't recommend Sunnyside enough for your next Natchez visit.
If you enjoy exploring historic homes, complete with authentic antiques and awe-inspiring art, then allow extra time to visit Sunnyside. Colleen will entertain you with stories in every room. You'll hear extraordinary tales - and see sights you've never seen in other homes.
