Detailed Reviews
My husband traveled to Natchez with me for a research trip and we were lucky enough to to stay at Sunnyside. Colleen takes great pride in her historic home and has filled it with carefully curated pieces that speak to its history and her soul. The quintessential hostess, she is happy to share history with you or leave you to find a quiet reading spot, if that’s your wish. The bed was super comfy and spotless and each morning we awoke to wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. One thing to note, if you don’t like dogs (shame on you) you won’t like the Master of the house. “Big” is the most handsome, most well-behaved German Shepherd that you’ll ever meet. We loved him so! If you’re looking for a relaxing spot that truly feels like a well-loved home, with a bit of history and fantastic food to make your Natchez trip complete, you can’t go wrong booking at Sunnyside. We’re already planning a return trip!

My wife and I stayed at Sunnyside to try something other than the standard motel/hotel. It's safe to say that there is no other place to stay in Natchez. Ms. Colleen is a delight and her dog Big is a teddy bear. The Bed & Breakfast has a wonderful personality and feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. We stayed in Fleur and our bed was very comfortable (I couldn't stop talking about how fresh they smelled). Colleen made the most wonderful breakfasts for us, chicken and waffles one day, quiche the next. Both were probably our favorite meals of the trip. Colleen is an exemplary hostess. We plan on going back soon!

The best part of Sunnyside BnB is the owner, Colleen Wilkins. Genteel, friendly, and accommodating, Colleen welcomes you to her antebellum home. The home is filled with unusual items that Colleen has collected through the years, and she has wonderful stories as she takes you on a tour through her home. Her Christmas tours, called "Do You See What I See?", are amazing with 34 Christmas trees in the house with some very special ornaments. I held a surprise birthday party and dinner at Sunnyside for my husband, and it was perfect. The library and dining room are very unique with books on shelves everywhere. There is a grand piano in the library that anyone may sit down and play, and if you are there at the right time, one of the ladies that helps Colleen serve may just break out into song. Besides being a remarkable business woman and BnB proprietor, she is also an accomplished chef. Our Beef Wellington with fresh green beans, twice baked potatoes, and almond cake for dessert was just as delicious as the sumptuous breakfast you receive in the morning. You sink into the canopied beds for a great sleep. Her gardens are well cared for, and Colleen will give you a tour of them also in the spring when everything is blooming. She uses her own flowers and greenery from her gardens in Sunnyside depending on the season. The party and dinner were a huge success, and the overnight stay was relaxing. We are planning on sending everyone to Sunnyside for a magnificent Southern experience.

Best birthday weekend ever!!! If u enjoy antebellum homes & real southern hospitality, you will love Sunnyside B&B. Colleen is the owner of Sunnyside & truly makes you feel so welcome & comfortable. Her home is so beautiful, full of antiques & history. We stayed in the Josephine Room which was truly beautiful. The patios, courtyards & grounds were awesome!!! Last but not least, the very best breakfasts in Natchez. Colleen is a fantastic cook, the food was delicious. Sunnyside is why people love to stay at B&B’s. I have been to a lot of them over the years & this is one of the Best. Colleen is the key ingredient to making this the perfect getaway. Many thanks for all ur hard work & kindness.

My wife took the Christmas tour of the home and stayed overnight in December 2022, and it was a very pleasant experience. As the photos show on the website, Sunnyside is immaculate and impressive. The room was incredibly clean with an aroma of cleanliness, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. The service and conversation with Ms. Colleen were delightful. I will recommend a stay at Sunnyside with anyone I hear of considering a trip to Natchez.

Loved this Christmas tour. The home is beautiful were the 32 decorated Christmas tress. . Our guide was charming and relayed the story of the home and many of the furnishings. The art was interesting as were the silver, porcelain and book collections. Enjoyed the warmth f the kitchen hearth and the smells of sweet treats being baked.

We spent the weekend for my wife's birthday and could not have found a better place. The home was beautiful and the art collection grand! In addition our host, Colleen, was a welcome surprise, she is such a warm and inviting hostess! We felt like we were at home and were very sad to have to leave. Natchez has so much charm and all the shop owners downtown were very welcoming and friendly. We spent an entire day walking around downtown going from shop to shop. We are planning a return trip in October to visit with our new friends Colleen and Big the "Grand House Dog"!

Had a great stay. She made us feel welcome and at home. Great night rest. The chicken and waffles along with a homemade fruit and yogurt parfait was amazing for breakfast. We will be coming back.

This is so beautiful! We spent two hours here. The host showed us the gorgeous Christmas trees, beautiful library, the paintings were so unique. Also heard a lot of history and culture stuff. This place is on National History Register. Even the kitchen is really nice!

Our stay at Sunnyside was an amazing experience! The grounds are peaceful and beautiful and the Gorgeous Pink Mansion takes you back in time. Coleen is an amazing host and her made from scratch cooking is delicious! I highly recommended this gorgeous bed & breakfast! 💖
