One word to describe The Elms...FANTASTIC!!! My husband and I have never stayed at a B&B before and weren't sure what to expect. When we arrived Mark (Esther's husband) greeted us at our vehicle. He was gracious and offered to help carry our bags. He showed us to our room first then showed us around the home and gave a... More

Last night we sat on the second floor veranda and watched the star lanterns in the trees. We had a lovely clean room (high quality bedding) and a yummy breakfast with blueberry scones. Thank you, Esther and staff, for a great visit.

Me and my wife have been on a 3 week road trip of the Deep South, when we drove up to the house we were set back by the beautiful gardens and such a wonderful looking house. We have stopped in some amazing hotels in the big cities, but personally this was our favourite. The house was bursting with history... More

House is in a sad state of disrepair. Esther met us, quickly asked for credit card to pay, and haven't seen her since. She showed us what we needed but no house tour, no info on the house. The downstairs is shabby but does reflect charm, furnishings, personal history of the era. Bedroom was spacious, good beds, clean sheets and... More

Staying at the Elms was a step back in time as all of the décor is original and available for use. The home is beautiful and luxuriously appointed with much attention to details. The rooms were spacious, clean and elegant. There is plenty of room on the porches to enjoy the outdoor climate and view the beautiful yard and grounds.... More

Firstly we were a little spoiled by a stay a night earlier at a B and B I consider the best I have ever stayed. The elms however value for money is still a great stop. The house itself and the grounds need a little TLC. However you need to put this in perspective with the grounds being huge and... More

We stayed here for two nights, one unexpectedly since my husband was in the throes of a bad cold. The hosts were warm and gracious, breakfasts ample (delicious biscuits and muffins), complementary wine and sodas. And the BED! The BED! One of the most comfy ever!! Fresh flowers in major rooms and full of family antiques--charming in all aspects. A... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The room was beautiful and cozy. Our king bed had soft sheets and comfortable matress. Our prvate bath was like a mini spa with fluffy towels and robes. The owners made us feel right at home. Cathy made delicious breakfasts every morning and we were able to keep a bottle of wine... Two night stay in the middle of 3 week trip in USA. A relaxed feel and welcome by Esther, Elizabeth, Jerry and staff. A guest house with lots of character and history and gave a homely feel while staying. The balcony, wine and lanterns were enjoyed by all guest, young and old. Free Wifi, big clean bathroom

This was a very disappointing B&B. Esther, the owner was, for the most part, MIA for our three days although we know she was in residence. We were greeted by a lovely woman named Elizabeth who gave us a tour of the house and settled us in. But, we never saw her again. The first thing we found were mice... More
