Linden is beautifully situated in a serene park-like, seven acre setting. The quiet and beauty of our grounds leads you to believe you are out in the country, yet Linden is just 3 or 4 minutes from the center of downtown Natchez, and just a mile from the Mississippi River. A very large number of National and State Historic Registry sites can be seen within our walkable downtown area. When you come to stay at Linden, you will reside within the walls of the home; there are no dependencies or out-buildings at Linden. Linden Cottage (at the back of the property) is available for larger parties. As a guest in the B&B, you will be served breakfast in the formal dining room. We realize and appreciate the privilege you have shown us by choosing Linden for your stay in Natchez. We believe that you deserve to experience true Southern Hospitality that meets, and in fact exceeds, your expectations.

Property's Favorite Review
This is an excellent B & B. Our room upstairs in the main house was spacious, spotless, and had great views. Our hosts, David and Marjorie made us feel like family, right at home. We ere there for 3 nights, including New Years Eve and were invited to the festivities.
The breakfasts were great, prepared by Iris Peaches (yup) and her assistant. Even had black eyed peas and collared greens on January 1.
This is our second visit to this property and it won't be our last. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

We spent a delightful weekend exploring Natchez but the highlight was the great B&B that we stayed in. Upon arrival, we received the famous Milk Punch tour with Ms. Jeannette and her daughter Marjorie. It began on the front porch and the entrance that inspired Tara from Gone with the Wind. The historic rooms of the well preserved home offered details like jib windows and period specific furnishings from the elegant Federal period. My favorite room was the magnificent dining room where the most incredible breakfasts were served. While the public rooms maintained the character of yesterday, the guest rooms were 100% up-to-date. We stayed in the Celice room which offered luxurious linens, well appointed details like ice buckets, luggage racks and a fabulous bathroom. Evenings were spent with the other guests on a great veranda-style porch with cozy throws, rockers and views of the graceful gardens. The estate was decorated very tastefully for Christmas and I can't wait to return for their ultimate Southern Hospitality.,

We loved our stay in Linden Historic B&B. During our road trip through the South we were lucky to choose Linden to spend the night. We loved the peaceful location with the typical ambiance and the refurbished rooms with all comfort you would wish for. We especially enjoyed the breakfast served in the dining room and the house tour with the stories of the history of the location. Natchez is worth the visit and we would have loved to stay longer.

A weekend getaway turned into a trip to remember. Linden B&B is a historic property that offers a clean room, friendly service and an amazing breakfast. The property has just been renovated and our room, Marjorie, had the best bed and pillow of any hotel or B&B that we have stayed in. My wife asked the owner for the brand of mattress and wants to get one for our home. Linden is a "Town Home" because the only crops raised on the property were for consumption of the residents. We enjoyed our tour of the home and marveled at the history of the home. We had our own happy hour on the back porch every afternoon and enjoyed the peace and quiet while rocking in our chairs. Breakfast was the finest meal every day. Vanessa is a marvelous cook, Shirley and Jennifer gave friendly and efficient service. If you love cheese grits, this is the place to have them. We are already planning another visit.

We are new to the world of "Bed and Breakfasts" and we were spoiled at the Linden in Natchez. We checked in during a thunderstorm and were immediately greeted by Ms. Jeanette (the 6th generation owner). The charming and consummate hostess made sure we were checked in, comfortable and dry. Our room was gorgeous! The tasteful decorations display the history of the era. (Our bed was so comfortable- I wanted to find the brand of the mattress.) We were three adults traveling together-a mom and two daughters. The bathroom was what I would consider... luxurious! We selected one of the many restaurants recommended and were not disappointed. A lovely evening! (See review of Peal Street Pasta.) The next morning we joined a full house of guests for a southern (and very filling) breakfast. Ms. Jeanette joined us for a tour of the house and history of the owners, pointing out different and unusual antiques from the federalist period. We are already making plans to return to Natchez and return to the Linden Bed and Breakfast! This is a treasure!

Just stayed three nights in the historical town of Natchez. This was our second time to stay at the Linden House and it was as charming as the first! We stayed in the Conner room located on the upstairs addition to the main house. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortably furnished. The bed was rather high for someone who might have trouble with mobility but wasn’t a problem for us. Check in is so convenient and done by just picking up your envelope with instructions on the back porch by the readily available coffee bar. We especially enjoyed our visit this time because of the interesting people we met over the traditional southern breakfasts we enjoyed in the beautiful dining room each morning. There are ample porches and seating to just relax, read or visit with new friends! The staff we interacted with during breakfast were friendly, accommodating and excellent hostesses who provided us with a delicious full southern breakfast each morning. There are many historical bed and breakfast options in Natchez but for a relaxed, friendly, charming one located a short distance from the busyness of downtown Linden House is an excellent choice.

A charming old guest house full of character situated about 2 miles from the city centre. Lovely decor, beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Breakfast served at 8;30 sharp.. you literally have to stand outside the door waiting for them to open it which wasn’t very welcoming.
The carpet in the bedroom didn’t look vacuumed and the bedding and multiple cushions looked a bit dated… however when I dropped a quarter I looked under the bed to retrieve it. Bleuch!!! The dust… obviously had not been vacuumed for a year at least. It was filthy. After seeing this I was loath to touch anything else in the room to be honest.
It was a shame that a lack of cleaning let the place down.
The quarter is still under the bed as I couldn’t find it in the dust.

Greetings LittleBritian! Well, let me first apologize that the room was not in the utmost of pristine condition. It is always our goal to provide beautiful accommodations that are pristine, and only wish you would have shared with us at the time of your stay...as we would have made it right! We found your quarter, and would love the chance to return it, should you ever consider staying with us again! Thank you for sharing some positive remarks, as well...we welcome the good and the 'missed marks'. Cheers!

This was a top rate experience that would rivel any 5 star hotel I have stayed in. The rooms were extremely clean and made you feel as if you should be wearing a corset and a hoop skirt drinking a mint julep. The owner and her husband were very hospitable and made you feel at home. I highly recommend it and plan on returning.

We stayed in Linden Cottage for 2 weeks, and we didn't want to leave by the end! Christy was the most helpful resource, going above and beyond -- she even arranged a babysitter for our infant. The Natchez community is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and all of the folks at Linden really embodied that. Highly recommend!

I had only stayed here once before; it was at the last minute and in 2006 I. found the room too small and the bathroom sadly outdated. But after seeing the improvements made since then, It really does show this property does care and is doing everything it can to keep up with the demands of guests. The showers in both the Conner and Charlotte Rooms were delightful and the hot breakfast served is a nice way to start the day. This B and B is a nice choice within the budget of just about everyone. Yes, I would stay here again.
