Mill Valley Inn is a charming, welcoming hotel; the front of the Inn is steps away from an array of restaurants and shops, and the back of it is nestled at the edge of the redwoods. For me, there is more than a splash of enchantment in this lovely hotel. About the staff: From the moment I called to make... More

Celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Mill Valley Inn. We had plans to do the Dipse trail; the Inn is perfectly located right down the street from the steps that begin this hike through the redwoods to Sinson beach. Cannot say enough about the friendly and helpful staff! Located in the heart of the quaint downtown, walk to everything! Terrific... More

This is a fantastic place to stay! When we arrived, we were greeted by a kind receptionist who completed our check-in promptly and provided great tips and details about the area. The room was absolutely wonderful. It was clean, comfortable, and even the smallest details were thought of...soothing music playing, chocolates on the bed, etc. There is a wonderful wine... More

Room was large and very clean, jazz playing on the TV when we got to the room. Room faced the road but we could hear no traffic outside. Shower was nice, earthy soaps. Breakfast bar was not what we anticipated- it was even better! Salmon, eggs, bagels, good coffee! Great way to start our day at Muir Woods. They also... More

The hotel is in town close to markets, shops and restaurants. Great breakfast every morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon. We were going to leave early one morning before breakfast would normally be ready. Because the staff knew of our plans they had coffee and pastries ready just for us. Rooms 12 and 14 on third floor has... More

We staying one night in room 10, on the 3rd floor. We thought this ws more of a B & B, they offer a wine reception in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. The wine reception was a plate of cheese plate of crackers, two bowls of nuts...4 bottles of wine and 3 sodas, not a soul to be... More

Dear Ptowngirlnow, First of all, thank you for choosing to stay at the inn, and thank you for providing your feedback about your experience at the property. I’m extremely disappointed to read about your overall experience, as we normally do such a great job of exceeding guest expectations and we clearly did not deliver on that standard for your visit.... Just bout 30 minutes North of San Francisco and near Muir Woods Timafaya etc. Mill Valley is a lovely away from the city small up market town. The Inn itself was lovely. Whilst not recommended we had a front facing room on level 2. This was a lovely room, road noise was minimal. Parking was secure. The cheese and wine... More

This hotel is in a perfect location in downtown Mill Valley just a few minutes walk from the very nice restaurants and bars in town. We had a nice room, with a very comfortable bed overlooking trees at the rear of the hotel. More of an upmarket motel than a hotel but avoid rooms overlooking the road which must be... More

I was rather underwhelmed although I had a "recommended" cabin by the creek/drainage. It's basically a small motel and rather expensive $323/night, but the location is good, within a short walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Neither the room nor the property had much to recommend staying again
