I've visited here on many occasions, and have had many a great meal. The price is excellent. Food is plentiful. ( too much) Give it a try you won't be disappointed. All this, beef and lamb. Large white wine, and a pint of Stella. £21.00. Not far from here you have the water fall.

A very nice welcome and stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff, who personally arranged our breakfast at an earlier time than usual. All is really simple but we got what we needed. Dinner and several beers at the pub were good.

The staff were lovely, so polite. We asked if we could have our food in our room upstairs and they even brought it to us. You would expect alot of noise being above a pub but not at all. The breakfast was yummy and there are two shops across the road. Pistyll raeadr, the point of our visit, was just... More

Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, great location, comfortable room and overall the hotel is great value for the modest price. Breakfast was very good and every effort was made to make my stay enjoyable.

Returned for another weekend to the wonderful village of Llanrhaedr and the ever reliable Wynnstay. Good wholesome food, especially the dinners at very reasonable prices. Okay, the rooms aren't the Dorchester, but there isn't anything wrong with them. Emminently functional, clean and tidy. They offer alot more character than the sterile rooms of leading budget hotels. The Wynnstay is perfectly... More

My wife and I returned to Llanrhaeadr recently looking for a relaxing break, and having stayed at The Wynnstay before, decided to check in again. Despite last visiting over a year ago, the chap booking us in recognised us and gave us a lovely warm welcome which you just don't find in most larger hotels and chains any more. We... More

Absentee owner did not tell staff about our reservation despite three emails, including one reserving a table for dinner on arrival. The barman said the cook had phoned in sick, but they don't do food on Sundays anyway! He suggested we could get fish and chips and eat them in the bar. Nobody else was staying, and nobody else was... More

Thank you for that review, firstly may I point out that I never received any booking conformation from you, so that is why you were not booked in. I have no idea who told you that the hotel was on the market and will follow that up with the staff. I was informed that you were not happy with the... More

Me, my wife and two friends stayed here for a weekend on a dinner bed and breakfast deal - excellent value. It is not the Ritz, but a genuine warm welcome, decent pub food, and friendly people made for an excellent stay. To top it all, we were there to cycle and discovered that this area is wonderful cycling territory.

Stayed at the Wynnstay one night and had to eat there as no where else. Room ok -- clean and spacious but central heating not very efficient and heater provided as a result did not work . It was flushing the toilet that was the most dramatic experience ever -- sounded like your own formula 1 car in the bathroom... More

Thank you for your review, as an owner of the hotel I insist that I am informed of quests comments, I have spoken to the barman on duty, and he doesn't speak Welsh so I am not sure that comment is correct. the Severn Trent water authority had turned off the water and there was an air lock in the...
