Changed to this place from the Holiday Inn Express to save about $100. Property was fairly comfortable, picked this location because of proximity to Mt. Rushmore. Alpine Adventure attraction is across the parking lot. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good. Pizza place next door was average - nothing exceptional. Room was nothing exceptional - ok for one night. If you want... More

This hotel is in a great location. There is a pizza restaurant in house, walking distance to all kinds of food, entertainment, and shopping. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The only complain was the bed. It was hard and uncomfortable.

Just ok. If I had to stay here more than one night I probably would find a different hotel. The halls smelled but our room smelled very clean. The bathroom was incredibly small and with every flush of the toilet you wonder if it was going down or going to come back up! My boys took one look at the... More

a very dated hotel, but the room was relatively inexpensive, comfortable enough, and convenient to visiting Mt Rushmore. the breakfast is very basic, but it is walking distance to a couple of places you can get espresso.

We have mixed reviews regarding the hotel. We knew it was an 'older' type hotel going into it so expected some quirks. We were on a road trip with our kids, ages 13 and 17. We booked the Superior King Room which was a very nice room, clean, and the size of it was perfect for our family. Us parents... More

Thank you for your extensive and well-written comments. I would just add that it is not our policy to end the breakfast before our guests are satisfied and I have addressed this issue with the staff members involved. That said, there are times when we are unable to renew breakfast items as the breakfast nears 9 a.m. Hot items, for... More

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was adequate. Close to Mt. Rushmore. Breakfast is typical continental but very good. Pizza place is part of the hotel. Pizza is just OK. If you stay on the 2nd floor parking is available around the back of the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to share your observations. Although the pizza restaurant is a separate business from the hotel, I will pass your comments on the owners. More

Check in was easy, our pet was very welcome. One major quirk - the elevators only work from around 7am to 10pm. If you want to get on the road early, you'll be lugging your stuff up/down stairs. no exterior doors were locked from either the upper or lower parking lots, nor were the stairwell doors onto the room's floors... Pricey at $160 per night, but it is July. Close to Mt. Rushmore yes, justifies the price but...... Pet friendly on that they accept pets, but does NOT make it convenient. They put us on the 4th floor and did not tell us they shut the elevator off at 10:30. There are about 8 parking spaces out front. When we... More

This is an older hotel. Our 2nd floor room was small but comfortable for our one night stay. They do have a complimentary breakfast. It's not spectacular but it's adequate. They had sausage gravy and biscuits the morning we were there. I don't know if the "hot option" changes or not since we were only there one night. They only... More

Thank you for the feedback. One small point: we don't serve watermelon for breakfast, however we do offer yogurt. Perhaps you were thinking of some other hotel regarding breakfast. More

We booked this hotel even though the reviews were mixed on TripAdvisor because it was so close to Mt. Rushmore, our destination. The hotel and room are quite worn around the edges, pretty basic and was fine for one night. We entered through the back door in the upper parking lot that had a "lock" that was permanently broken. That... More
