We had traveled for two days to come to Mount Rushmore in memory of a loved one and it was a pure delight to drive up to the very cute Roosevelt Inn! We were welcomed like family by James at the front desk, who recommended dinner at Ruby's - delicious choice - and gave us information about several other local activities. We were assigned to a cute little "attic" type room which we loved! Slept like a baby and enjoyed every moment of our stay at this cute little Inn! The flowers on the porch were a beautiful touch and the hot breakfast during a pandemic was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was served by the staff very safely and we enjoyed the delicious food and good service. There was a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room and an ice machine was available. The pool was also available, but we got in so late, we were not able to take advantage of it! How refreshing that the hotel managed to make our stay safe and comfortable even during restrictive pandemic times. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there myself again. This is an older hotel, but has been updated recently and was a great deal for the price. I'm pretty picky and this place was as clean as can be. Thank you Roosevelt Inn - we had a great stay!…
Room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Close to Mount Rushmore and a lot of attractions. It was peaceful and very relaxing. Breakfast was very good and service was excellent. Special thanks to Candace for booking the room for us. She was very professional and very friendly. Will definitely stay there again.
The game room was fantastic! Loved watching my kids play pool, foosball and Pacman! The indoor pool was great. Free parking too. Breakfast was good. No more buffet style w covid rules but they were quick and efficient at serving everyone. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The Roosevelt Inn was nicely done for what it is - accommodation in a very touristy town very proximate to Mt. Rushmore. The hotel was clean, and the gentleman on the front desk was both polite and obliging. The gazebo on the 2nd floor was a nice touch, and we enjoyed sitting outside as the sun set. I would be happy to stay here if staying in Keystone again. The broader question - and not one in the control of the Roosevelt Inn, but perhaps a consideration for those reading this review - would be whether to stay in Keystone, with its tacky touristy nature, or drive the extra 20 miles and stay in Rapid City.
Convenient to Mt Rushmore, Keystone is quaint mountain town, great shopping and food, our host JAMES at the hotel was professional, knowledgeable, and an overall really nice man !! He was there when we arrived and greeted us as though we had known each other for years. The hotel is dog friendly and they serve a nice HOT breakfast every morning for 2 1/2 hrs, no breakfast bar. Nice amenities on site, although we were so busy we didn’t have time to use the pool. I would definitely go back and support this non-chain hotel, Love supporting the locals !!! :)
