We did 14 hotels in 15 days and this was the one we REMEMBER! My wife slept in her clothes. Everything else in town was booked. They immediately hit us with a $15 "resort fee" not covered when we booked online. The room was so small we almost couldn't bring our luggage in. There was a possible tick under the... More

The room was dirty. I feel like we were treated terribly because I was traveling with a dog and a handicapped husband. The room was suppose to be handicapped accessible and it was so small that he could not walk around in the room. I would never recommend this hotel. It was very expensive(most expensive room we had in our... More

Everything was average and ok, the A/C was clear up to the ceiling and very hard to get to. You had to stand on the bed to turn it on as you couldn't pull the bed away from the wall. It make it hard for old people. Now the but. The male staff was worthless, but the young lady from... More

The hotel room was okay until you tried to lay on the bed. The beds are at least 20 years old and two people cannot use the same bed due to the large crevasse in the middle of each bed. Pillows are just as old and no good. The toilet is a model I have never seen before. They must... More

The view of Mt. Rushmore is pretty good even if the mountain is in the distance a bit. First the good: Our room was clean and well maintained. It was what you would expect from a good motel. The king size bed was surprisingly comfortable, nice TV, and we had a nice seating area with a table. The price was... More

Our room was spacious and clean, but the linens were old, dingy and stained. The view out to the town was great off of our deck, but we couldn't see the presidents, so that was misleading. But, it was still a really good and interesting view. It was Sturgis rally week, so the hotel was very busy and the staff... More

We had a reservation at a nearby hotel that misled us since their pool was closed. They didn't live up to their potential in any way. The staff of Mt. Rushmore's Presidents View Resort offered to help and indicated they wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay in the area more than they wanted to make money from us.... More

This place is a joke. Do not stay there. First of all we arrived in the hotel and the lady at the front desk asked us to wait 20 minutes to receive our room key because she has just started the night audit process and did not want to have to start it again. After our waiting time was over,... More

We stayed in the honeymoon suite expecting a little more room but were disappointed. It was very small and cramped and outdated. It's like stepping back into the 80's. It was reasonably priced for the area though and had a good view. I think they would be well served to update.

Nothing fancy but neither is the town. As long as a room is clean and comfortable it doesn't matter when you are there for a night. Mt. Rushmore was disappointing. Yes, the hill was steep but great exercise. Plan ahead and pack some food. They did have a nice pool area.
