We planned on staying 2 nights but unfortunately, our trip had to be cut short. Tammy was very understanding and accommodating. Don't expect upscale amenities but this charming, well maintained small business is definitely worth the repeat business! Will stay again!

It’s so wonderful to find places like this, so many unique charms and intangible benefits you won’t get from the chain places. I enjoyed talking with Cine about her flowers and herb garden out front, and Tammy gave us so much helpful advice for our stay. Not to mention the homemade breakfasts and opportunities to eat outside with the family on a beautiful Keystone evening or two. Sure you won’t have the fanciest room you’ve ever stayed in, with the latest furnishings and fashions. But who needs that when you can get the kind of personal service you never see at even the nicest hotels in the area? I’d stay here again, without hesitation. Support local, independent businesses!

Such a lovely review! It made us smile when we read it. Owning Battle Creek Lodge has given us the opportunity to guide our guests into what we as owners and locals believe will give you the best experience of our beautiful town. We treat our guests and staff in the same way we like to be treated, and that has brought us wonderful new friendships along all this year, with people from all places in the US and from around the world. Thank you so much!

The owners are very friendly. We like to pick a family owned hotel over a chain when we travel for leisure. They answered questions and gave us useful information for Mount Rushmore. The building is in good shape. There are gas firepits on the upper deck to sit around and enjoy the evening. The only downsides were the bathrooms are small, the floor is very squeaky, and our refrigerator was so noisy we had to unplug it overnight. Still, I would stay here again.

Thank you Brian, for taking some time of your day and letting us know your thoughts and experience staying with us. We do as much as we can with our space to make it cozy and the floor being very squeaky as you might have read in our website or heard from us, Battle Creek Lodge has a great historic background, as the building has over a 100 years when it was built to be the Fire Hall of Keystone, this is something we love about our lodge and that we're proud of. Again, thank you for giving us the pleasure to host you and to let us know what we can improve to make your future stay a 5-star experience. Safe travels and happy returns~

Decided too go on a quick get away during quarantine 2020. This place is amazing! Rustic and so very cute. Our room (25) was clean, and cozy. Very comfortable King size bed, with everything we could need in the room. The outside sitting area is cheery, inviting and relaxing. All sorts of great places too eat and shop are within walking distance. Enjoy your stay, Battle Creek Lodge is worth it! The fresh cinnamon rolls are delish! A big thank you too Tammy for being so kind and accommodating!
