This was a very nice, clean hotel within walking distance of restaurants & tourist shops in downtown Keystone. Check in was easy & the employees were competent & friendly. Hot breakfast is always a plus, with waffles, cheese omelette, bacon, biscuits & gravy. Parking is free
Loved everything about this hotel! Clean, comfortable and quiet! Close enough to walk downtown for dinner. We stayed one night here and loved the hotel! Lobby was very nice had water and coffee available all the time. Beds and pillows very comfortable.
This hotel is located on a side street off of the main street of Keystone. Everything is within walking distance...restaurants, shopping and attractions. The hotel itself had everything we needed...large, comfy room, microwave, fridge, breakfast. The room was beautiful but the lighting was poor. Besides the bright entry light, the only lights in the room were two bedside lights. We asked for a table lamp at the front desk and they provided one for us. It was a big improvement. The management should consider adding a lamp to every room. The lobby and sitting area are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The only reason I gave the hotel 3 stars because we although we loved our stay it was still a Comfort Inn and we thought the price of $200 per night was a bit steep but I've been told all the hotels in the area charge the same.…
This is a great place to stay in Keystone. It is a quick, easy walk to the main street of Keystone. It is close to Mt. Rushmore and a short drive to other attractions like Crazy Horse and Deadwood. This was our home base for our South Dakota trip and it was a great location for us. We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. The only con was parking. They do not have many parking spots, but we were always back early enough in the evening that we did not have an issue finding a spot.
We had a short but ver good stay. Clean and quiet room on the top floor. Plenty of fluffy towels. Great shower. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows. We left before breakfast but coffee was available. Complaint…Wifi was terrible. All in all a very good stay!
Great place to stay in Keystone. It is close to Mt Rushmore and it is an easy 1+ block walk to the main street of Keystone. The staff is very nice and parking is available in front of the hotel. Standard breakfast but it served the purpose. No complaints at all.
We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the area. It was a pleasant change from our previous location on our trip and we were so happy! It’s close to town to walk to restaurants for dinner. It’s an easy drive to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial and Custer State Park. The breakfast items were plentiful and staff there kept them full despite the number of people attending. Loved the coffee and tea available in the lobby. What made this hotel shine was the staff.. in particular Julie and Jon. We did have an unexpected issue upon returning from the night lighting of Mt Rushmore… so it was late in the evening. Water was coming out of our ceiling from the 3rd floor room above. Jon at the front desk came to our room, removed tiles above the tub and the floor and attempted to stop the leak. While it didn’t totally stop, it helped. This was not clean water but instead shower drain water. We were unable to use our bathroom to its fullest extent. Fransine at the front desk stated there were no empty rooms for us to switch, so we did had a partially functioning bathroom. We were informed the owner Cassie was contacted by hotel staff and notified of the issue. The next morning we asked again for a new room. Julie at the front desk was aware the problem from the evening before and stated we would have a new room upon return from our day. After a full day at Custer State Park, we returned to a new room. Julie apologized a few times for the water issue with the first room. What we expected was something from the owner regarding some sort of compensation due to the water issue. Nothing from the owner, no mention of partial refund. Julie however was able to give her maximum amount, which we accepted. Overall, we liked this hotel. Staff was amazing. We were disappointed in the manager’s response.…
Hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping in Keystone- and a short drive to Mt Rushmore. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. The parking lot seemed sufficient for the hotel.
Our family of 5 stayed here in May and had a wonderful time! Lots of parking, fantastic lobby where at one point my 6 year old daughter enjoyed doing a puzzle they had laid out on the table near the couches, very nice touch! Enjoyed the coziness and cleanliness of the lobby as well. Fresh lemon water out everyday. Enjoyed the pool that was very clean. Our room was clean and enjoyable. Noise level from inside or outside was not an issue at all, very calm and quiet. Had nice tea and coffee options in the room for the coffee maker. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was sensational!!! Our favorite part of our stay was spending time at breakfast with staff member June! She is an absolute doll and kept the breakfast area tidy and greeted us with a smile and great conversation every morning! She would be reason enough to stay here! This hotel is within walking distance of downtown (close but not too close) which made it incredible for us with the kids and such an ease to walk right on out and downtown to either shop or eat! We highly recommend this hotel and will plan on staying here again, it really was part of what made our trip so awesome!…
After finding out the nearby Baymont was closed, essentially canceling my reservation there, I walked into Comfort Inn and was able to get a room for 3 nights. This was a Holiday Inn Express previously (about 9 months ago) and was just finishing up with some renovations. Staff was really helpful. No issues with the room. Room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Cost for the room was more than the Baymont but I think it was worth it.
