We had booked this hotel as attending a birthday party in the area, we thought we would arrive in time to relax for a couple of hours before heading out and catch the 6 nations on TV, guess folk don't watch tv in this hotel as they seemed totally unaware there was no Tv signal. We were also told the... More

I cannot speak highly enough of every aspect of this hotel, staff, surroundings, food, attention to detail, nothing was a problem and all in a smooth seemingly effortless manner. They made the wedding and reception a positive experience for everyone involved without exception and I would recommend them to anyone!

Having checked out Trip Advisor we decided to stay here for a Christmas Boxing Day stop over en route to Edinburgh. The weather was stormy when we arrived but the building and it's surroundings still looked lovely. We received a warm welcome from the staff and the log fires were equally so. Some reviews say that the hotel is tired... More

We extend our thanks for taking the time to let us have your impressions of the hospitality on offer at Cornhill and for your kind assessment. We were disappointed to read your wife’s comments on her main course on this occasion and to learn that these were not acknowledged, particularly as we have in place a strict regime for dealing... Decided to take our staff there for their Christmas night out and it was a great idea. Warm friendly service and great food and it didn't blow the budget either which always pleases the boss. Staff were attentive, food was served hot and quickly and everyone enjoyed what they had. I had a medium Sirloin and it was one of... More

When we first got engaged, we did the usual drawing up of potential venues that we wanted to go check out for our big day. After a trip home to see my now-husband's parents, we decided to call into Cornhill on a total whim as we were driving past anyway... and it ended up being the only venue we ever... More

We where here in November for the wedding of Paul Morton and Carly Moore, it was a magical occasion with the castle and snow on the ground, food was excellent and there was an efficiency about the running of the event. Over all experience was good, recomended

Spent a wet, winters weekend in beautiful surroundings, just 30 miles outside Edinburgh. The hotel is so welcoming & relaxing. The room was very comfortable. One of the quietest nights sleep we've ever spent in a hotel - fantastic! Breakfast was more than adequate, but it was the evening meals that excelled. Although there was a la carte, there was... We had a very enjoyable stay at Cornhill House, the staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. The bedrooms were very well presented and the only minus point was that the mattress was very uncomfortable and may need renewing although we were in the bridal suite! This did not discourage us from booking to stay on our way... More

My husband &. We booked here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and were not disappointed. We were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception, who took us straight to our room. We had asked for a room with disabled access, and this is what we got. The room was huge, with a double, and two single beds. There were two... More
