My partner and I were up for the weekend to see the Open Championship at Troon. We had a wonderful day at the Championship and a leisurely drive over towards Biggar. I'd heard about the hotel and we were delighted with that long drive in to the front door. The castle was impressive, the welcome by reception was very friendly,...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review after your recent visit. I’m really pleased you found everything to your liking and in good order. Even our standard rooms are on the large size, our housekeeping team work extremely hard to keep them clean and tidy. The chefs are extremely pleased with the latest menu they have released;...

We stayed only one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The most comfortable bed ever! Lovely big room with seating area. Dinner was very good too and friends joined us from the local area. They will be back as indeed we hope to too.

Even though the hotel has recently changed hands it hasn't changed the feel of the hotel. Some of the same staff are there, they are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. They have a lovely restaurant with great food and a really nice relaxing bar. Surrounding countryside is stunning - it is a very special place which is...

Thank you for taking the time to write your honest review of Cornhill Castle. The hotel changed hands earlier in the year, but the staff both front and back of house are for the most part the same. The countryside and views have not changed and we would not want them to, they remain stunning. We hope to welcome you...

I had lunch here while visiting family in the area. The building is beautiful and so are views of the surrounding area. Ian and the rest of the staff were excellent. Service was fast, efficient and very friendly. We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, we were served by Ian who makes a great Cosmo! The food...

Four of us visited the hotel for an Afternoon Tea. I love an Afternoon Tea and this one was lovely. A glass of bubbly, sandwiches and tiny rolls, scones with jam and cream and cakes, oh the cakes. Loved it. It is on the outskirts of Biggar and is a nice place to drop into if you are out and...
