In our cabin: The room smelled musty The bed was roughly bowed in the middle The ceiling was low, stained, and a hole had been patched with a wad of paper or chewing gum The sink was missing a stopper--troublesome for contact lens wearers The shower was tiny--circa 3' by 3' at most and the nozzle only emitted water from... This is a place you stay got ONE night because you are heading up Mt Rainier...not a luxurious weekend. Location is what this place has, feet from the park entrance. Grounds are clean and well kept. Our cabin was clean but look liked like it was decorated from 50 different yard sales. $100 at Target would go miles in updating.... More

We stayed 2 night's in cabin. Very comfortable beds, quiet, so close to Park entrance it was great to get our hikes started nice and early - before the lines started at booth. We did find bathrooms small which was fine, however a table or shelf would be nice to place clothing on. Staff very friendly and helpful! We'd stay... More

The Gateway Inn is a nice place to stay near Mt. Rainier. you literally cannot stay any closer to the Nisqually Entrance: you can see it from the front office. In fact, the only "negative" is that if traffic is backed up from the entrance, you'll have to deal with that getting in/out of the parking lot. It was great... More

Got here very rustic looking but NO A/C. It felt like it was 80 degrees in our cabin. We had to open the windows which didn't help at all!!!!! We had NO privacy bc the cabins are about 8 feet from each other and close to the road. Which is great if you love hearing cars drive by all night.... More

My husband and I stayed in one of their junior suite which was spacious with two queen beds. The room and carpet though are very dated and has musty smell - perhaps from its all wood paneling to the ceiling and walls. It sure need some major improvement and renovation. I'm petite but I felt claustrophobic in their small shower... More

Great Log Houses with plenty of Beds (3) per room and a nice fireplace. Owner is a Korean family and is quite a nice person. Located right at the entrance of the Mt Rainier National Park. Worth a visit. Beds were great quality and room had microwave and fridge besides coffee maker etc. Shower is a bit small but functional... More

This hotel was In a perfect spot for entrance to the park. We thought we were getting a cabin but ended up in one or the upstairs rooms. It was very large for just the two of us. It's very dated and could use a facelift. However we are in the middle of no where so what more could I... More

We booked a last minute, 1 night reservation at this place on our spur of the moment trip through Mt Rainier. It was the only place with openings and it's easy to see why. The hallway leading to our room smelled pretty gross, almost like cat pee. Our room looked like it hadn't been updated since it was built. It... More

Cabin was average at best. Shower was extremely small, toilet was not attached to floor very unstable, wife and I where watching TV an watched a mouse run along the edge of the wall under the bed. For 140.00 for the night we talked to owner manager and was told that was the normal, asked for more fire wood and... More
