A group of 12 stayed here for one night. We rented the House and the Chalet. They were both adequate for what we paid. We were just happy it was for one night. They could have been cleaned better. We had reservations for the restaurant. 2 of the couples order the Lemon PRAWN Rigatoni. They split there orders with the... More

We found this adorable inn right outside of Mount Rainier National Park. No television, the room was small and the bathroom was across the hall. It felt like sleeping at Grandma's . Staff was friendly and other than the creaks an old house has, the hotel was quiet. Didn't see a ghost but did hear the door knob rattle...thankfully no... More

Our room was adequate. The light switches and TV did not work, but the bed was comfortable. Dinner was overpriced and incomplete. It was not fine dinning as advertised. I would stay at Alexander's again, just for the historical value of the building. I would not eat there again.

My wife and I had an opportunity of staying at the Alexander Lodge for a week during a summit climb of Mt. Rainier. The lodge is in a beautiful location nestled in the pines, but the building itself is in need of upgrading and repairs; and the restaurant service staff needs training. Our room had a stand alone air conditioner... More

We had a very nice room; nicely appointed, clean and neat with a small deck. Our bath was across the hallway but was private (only ours) and very convenient. There is a large parlor on the second floor that is very cozy and quiet and spacious. Snacks are available and DVD's are there for the using. The staff is friendly... More

We stayed three nights in one of the two "chalets" (the one closest to the road) at Alexander's. For price conscious young hikers or families, I guess this is a bargain. But if you are looking for a welcoming, or even really clean place to stay, you might re-consider. The property is not well-maintained. The bushes aren't trimmed. There are... More

Location was very close to Mt. Rainier. Very rustic hotel. No elevator, steep stairs if on the third floor. Need to clean outside, a bit dirty (windows) This is an old inn, so modern conveniences are not there. They had a plug in air conditioner in the room. No TV in room. Did have Wifi. The rooms were small but... More

Very close to Mt. Rainier entrance so that was a big plus since it allowed us to get to the park quickly. The Lodge is very basic - very small bathroom/shower. The bed was comfortable. No cable TV - Wifi was good. Lodge food was okay -- convenient. A bit pricey for what you get as far as room size.

We needed a place to stay close to Mt Rainier. We trusted Trip Advisor. Our visit was not horrible and it was a place to spend the night. Oddly we never met anyone at check in or check out. I received an email giving me the key code to get my key out of a lock box which was my... More
