I've been visiting these parts for the past 10 years and have come into Alexander's Inn now Alexander's Lodge usually for dinners and the gift shop. However, I thought I would stay for the first time this past weekend. I thought this place had changed ownership given the change in name. Upon arrival, I noticed a stand outside offering people... Dear review readers, We usually apologize for a bad experience and try to learn from a review to better our business. Because customer's opinion and experience is important to us. But this review all about a personal attack on the business from someone who probably didn't even stay here. Please consider this review objectively and ask your self, someone who... More

Quiet location. Friendly staff. If you plan to spend much time in your room, recommend you select one of the larger rooms. If you truly want to get away, this place will help you unplug as there is no cable or antenna TV and internet is spotty. Large selection of movies in library. The common room was great for sitting... More

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway from Seattle. Let me start by saying the lodge was very convenient for visiting Rainier National Park. Along with a handful of other properties, Alexander's Lodge was about as close as you could get to the Nisqually Gate (road to Paradise) without being in the park. A quick five minute drive... More

We stayed in the chalet house for 2 nights. From the cozy gas fire to the comfortable beds and furniture, this property is top notch. Well equipped, great entrance with mud room, open plan living, dining and kitchen. Nice tub and shower and excellent bedrooms. Definitely put this on your option list for your Mount Rainer stay, it is only... More

Perfect base for touring Mt. Rainier. Beautiful setting and intriguing old, Victorian building with a fascinating past. Spacious, comfortable "parlor" area for all guests. While most staff were very friendly, some were cold. Our room, especially the bathroom, was very compact. Hotel overall is showing lots of wear and tear. Room was basically clean but more attention to cleaning would... More

We love to visit small inns and b and b's so when we saw Alexander's near Mt. Ranier we were ready to give it a try. I tried to reserve a room online a couple of months ahead of time with a special 3 night package but there was a mixup charging us much more than it would have been... More

I am in two minds about this review, which I think is how the staff feel about the place. We chose it for a couple of nights so we could visit Mount Rainier park. We didn't want to stay in the park as we thought there would be more choice of good places to eat outside (there isn't). As other... More

If you expect cookie cutter typical hotel room don't book here. But if you want more of a visit to grandma's house (quaint, homey, quiet) book it. They have a "parlor" with books, games, and dvds ( our room had no tv but only a dvd player...which was just fine). The private bathroom was across the hall. The lodge was... More

Slow slow slow service. Plan to wait a long time to be waited on and to finally get served your meal. We were there at 7ish on Thursday night. They ran out of some things on menu including bottled ketchup for the hamburgers! Very pricey food which was good but prices didn't match style and service of restaurant. There was... More

We were traveling to Mt. Rainier from Seattle. I was searching for a place to stay with WIFI as we were driving. There were a few choices but I am so glad I picked this one. This was a charming beautiful Inn. The wonderful receptionist gave my husband and I, 2 weary travelers a free upgrade and we stayed in... More
