Very close to Mt. Rainier entrance so that was a big plus since it allowed us to get to the park quickly. The Lodge is very basic - very small bathroom/shower. The bed was comfortable. No cable TV - Wifi was good. Lodge food was okay -- convenient. A bit pricey for what you get as far as room size.

We needed a place to stay close to Mt Rainier. We trusted Trip Advisor. Our visit was not horrible and it was a place to spend the night. Oddly we never met anyone at check in or check out. I received an email giving me the key code to get my key out of a lock box which was my... More

The staff is friendly and sitting by the pond provides an excellent experience. The building has 100 year old blue prints of the original plan on the wall. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant are good and service is excellent.

The Alexander Lodge has some good history about it. The room was okay, and the breakfast in their restaurant was good. The servers in the restaurant were great! When dinner is served in the restaurant there is music (not too sure it was a band). I did speak with management as I could hear the music in my room. The... More

Stayed one night while exploring Mt. Rainier national Park. It is close the park entrance. however, many gaps in the quality of the stay. The rooms are not a bargain , and small. Decorated in old Victorian, but still feel a bit shabby, they need an upgrade. The staff, with the exception of the gal that checked me in that... More

For what you get this is an expensive overnight. We had a "Pond" room. That just means there is a pond right outside your door. Its air conditioned with one of those units that exhaust out the window which means the blinds don't go right down!. There is also the weird way you check in. There is a whole array... More

Stayed in this hotel 1 night as part of a road trip, after visiting Mt. Rainier NP. It's a nice hotel in the middle of nature (very close to the entrance of the NP) There is a nice garden with a pond (you can feed the fish) and a terrace where you can relax. Although the hotel has a restaurant... More

Stayed here in April for a retreat with a group of friends. The owner, Kavitha, was wonderful, and did everything possible to make our stay great. The beds were super comfy, the rooms were all clean and well-appointed. Our room had a little deck where we could have coffee and listen to the birdies. Food was good - we had... More

My annoyance started with the girl who checked us in and proclaimed there was no place to hang clothes when she saw me with blouses on hangers (my room had a closet). After giving her my name to check in I mentioned that I had tried to make a dinner reservation but received no confirmation call (no reservation showed). I... More

Stayed two nights. Due to a last minute change in plans on our part, I had to change rooms the second night. That room was bigger and had a pullout sofa. Much roomier compared to the first night. We didn't have dinner there but had two very good breakfasts. Considering we're from PA, I doubt if we'll ever be back... More
