Stopped here for a drink acouple of evenings, very friendly staff plenty of comfortable seating. Really old fashioned pub set up. The only criticism, some of the drinks a bit pricey. Worth stopping off they have a dining area as well and I believe rooms also.

A very warm welcome with the surprise of a complimentary deluxe room upgrade at this stalwart location on the north Norfolk coast. Really friendly staff, great service, a comfortable room with a little balcony upon which to enjoy a drink while taking in the sea air. You can't quite see the pier, but some rooms do offer a sweeping vista... More

The Red Lion Hotel has a lot of charm, friendly staff and great accommodation. I arrived, with a friend and his dog after walking over one hundred miles in five days, along the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coastal Path. I was very glad to get there. The bar and lounge areas are really lovely and would be a great place... More

We were in Cromer for a 21st birthday weekend. It was a mixed party with people of different ages and tastes. The Red Lion did not disappoint.I booked a party of 9 plus a dog for a 21st birthday Sunday lunch. The person who took the the booking immediately filled me with confidence. He was enthusiastic, said they would decorate... More

When I arrived I was told that I had the best room in the hotel (Room 7) and, as soon as I entered, I could well believe it. The room was well equipped and absolutely spotless. A suite area at one end, one TV for the sofa and another for the bed. Plenty of tea and coffee with milk "pots"... More

We stayed in two seaview rooms which were both very comfortable and relaxing. Lovely extras such as cold bottled water from the fridge on each landing as we had some very hot weather whilst we stayed! Really great choice for breakfast both from the buffet and hot menu choices and all very tasty! We also had dinner during our stay... More

We had dinner here two nights whilst staying in Cromer and really enjoyed both our meals! We were almost put off by the initial impression from outside, it appeared to be just a regular noisy pub but once inside in the dining area nothing could be further from the truth! The staff were delightful and helpful and the ambiance peaceful... More

Had a lovely stay. Room 5 was huge! Our dog was made very welcome and even offered a sausage at breakfast. Dogs are only permitted the bar area. The bar area offers the best views of the sea so couldn't be better. Will definitely return soon. Need my fill of delicious Cromer crab.

We just got home from a two night stay at The Red Lion. We were made very welcome, nice room, good food and great value. Our dog especially enjoyed his breakfast sausage both mornings! The location is great, we had a sea view room and were sleeping to the sound of waves on the beach.
