Me and my partner have stayed at a few Sentido hotels over the last few years so after reading many great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to celebrate our anniversary by having a 10 day holiday at the Sentido Sea Star at Icmeler...from June the 14th to the 24th....I can't find words to describe how fantastic it really is..The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble. Ozan and Sezai from the restaurant were really great very friendly and attentive.. Our house keeper Ayse was brilliant Anastasia from the Animation team was very friendly .That's just to mention a few....When we got home we booked another 10 day holiday at the Sea Star hotel for next June..We would recommend it to anyone...Best hotel we have ever been to...we are looking forward to going back.... Thomas Cook Holiday. Booked this after looking at reviews, just shy of two thousand pounds for ten nights all inclusive. So this was beginning of June arrived at the hotel in the early hours nice reception area quick check in,guy showed us to the room, which I must say was very nice and clean. It was down hill from there in,woke up at around six am to the sound of pots pans being thrown around and people shouting this was from the hotel across from our room also a generator and aircon unit what a racket. so from then in it was balcony door shut to try and get some decent sleep not easy ! The room it self was lovely with a view of the sea and the bins and air con units so sitting and relaxing on the balcony was a no go,and for the ten nights I saw no one on that side off the hotel sitting out Such a shame as the place is really nice. The hotel then - really nice and clean in all areas, Staff really helpful if you are of Russian Nationality, if British it seems an effort to be polite Note: This hotel is geared up for anyone other than British. Food = Although a good selection of food it was not of a really good quality the selection was the same every day no change except for one night which was Turkish Night. Breakfast : fruit, spicy sausage in a pepper gravy scrambled egg and cereal. Lunch: Macdonald style fry's pasta, fish, and other such boring delights. Evening meal : pretty much same as lunch such a boring menu. Pool Side Cafe: would not be out of place in Blackpool but the food would more likely be better serving Pizza,Fry's,meatballs, burgers, Conclusion on the food = It was so bland and not catering for anything British eat we had to eat out most days not good when you have paid that amount of money, one Scottish lady asked if she could have a jacket potato they did this but the skin was hard as rock so on complaining they scooped the middle out and said it would have to do totally not acceptable when you are the customer. The pool and beach area = very clean however the early towel brigade was rule of thumb placing towels on the sea front/pool side sunbeds at early o'clock then off out for the day again should be managed by the staff/managment. Cleaners= the cleaners are the only staff that deserve any praise they keep that place immaculate and I mean everywhere rooms and all public areas so bigg well done and thanks to them. In Summery, Very nice Hotel shame about the negativity around the British, ***Hotel managers, take note we pay the same money as others visiting your hotel*** Icemeler is a lovey place I have booked another hotel nearby for September,I shall never go back to the SEA STAR. THOMAS COOK you should review the hotels you advocate no wonder you are going down hill, think its Jet2 for me now you've lost custom.

Hello Martyn, First of all, thank you for choosing Sentido Sea Star and for taking the time to review us. Your comment surprised our entire team. So much so that we checked the dates of your stay and the analysis asserts that of the residing guests at the time, 55% were of UK origin while the Russians made up a mere 5%. The Europeans constituted 28%, Turkish nationals 9% and other nationalities equaled 4%. We are kind of confused as to how you felt left out as a British citizen. We have here on TripAdvisor and only on TripAdvisor, let alone other online platforms, 767 comments in English language. Some are amazing, some are criticising but not one of them ever mentioned such a discomfort. Nor have we received any such complaints from other nationalities. We still appreciate your comment. You will be most welcome whenever you wish to return. Kind regards.

This hotel is in the most beautiful setting. The rooms are beautiful and clean with a lovely double walk in shower. Staff are very friendly and helpful. However if you like fish, chicken, chips and salad you’ll be sorted because it’s the same every meal. After 4 days we’d had enough and went out into Icmeler and paid for meals. Never stayed at an All inclusive that was so repetitive. Nothing wrong with the food just the same over and over. This hotel is a 24 hour hotel. They have built a seated terrace in the middle of lots of rooms. As you can imagine the noise from the terrace is awful. 2am and shouting, laughing and general rowdiness. Then at about 6am the doors start banging coming out of rooms. We came home absolutely exhausted. There was nothing to do around the pool all day until 4pm when they did darts. They entertainment team tried dragging mine and another ladies sun lounger across the floor whilst laid on it. Neither of us appreciated it. Especially me as I’m severely disabled. Icmeler is lovely with vibrant shops and bars. But we would not return to this hotel. You can get far better for your money.

Hello Karen! First off, thank you for choosing Sentido Sea Star Hotel and for taking the time to review us. We are sorry to hear that you experienced certain inconveniences that are not up to our usual standards. The terrace you mention has only been added this year. While we do try to keep a calm atmosphere all over the facility, some of our guests may choose to relax on the terrace in the evenings with friends and our warnings may sometimes not be as effective as everyone holds the right to their dream holiday. However, we enacted a time restriction on terrace use immediately the morning after our chat with you wherein we provided all of the above explanations and have discussed possible precautions listening to your suggestions. We are most delightful to let you know that we have not received any further complaints ever since. The restaurant offers different recipes of chicken/turkey, red meat and fish at every lunch and dinner every day. While you are technically correct that we do repeatedly offer chicken/turkey, fish and red meat every day, we offer different recipes each time. But we do understand why that may feel like repetitive. Our entertainment team do their best to keep a hotel full of individuals happy despite their immensely varying characters and expectations. Some guests prefer lively activities, some prefer quiet chats. It is not always easy to figure out who enjoys what and inclusive approach requires trial and error. We still thank you for your comment and you are very much welcome should you ever wish to visit us again. Kind regards.

Hello Dawn and Steve! First of all, thank you for choosing Sentido Sea Star and for taking the time to review us. We are pleased to hear you had such a lovely time here at our hotel. We appreciate your suggestions and we assure you that they do not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, we cannot place a notice on the jetty claiming it for ourselves as in Turkey, the beaches lawfully belong to all people. We are, however, on the watch to prevent any discomfort for our guests. We look forward to seeing you next year! Kind regards.
