Arrived late at night on 1st October 1020. Checking in was very thorough, all luggage was disinfected, our temperatures checked. We were offered food but declined as we just wanted to sleep Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and sea as do most of the rooms. We had a small fridge in the room containing water, sparkling water and Coca Cola ( topped up every day) Tea and coffee making facilities are there, the only problem is that the cups are small paper ones. (We took our own) There isn’t any milk but coffee mate so we bought a carton of milk. You get a hairdryer, soap and shampoo. Beach/Pool towels are provided. On waking the next morning we took our tea onto the balcony to discover towels already on the poolside beds and also on all the frontline beds on the beach. This happened every morning at 6am when there was a mad dash to get a favoured bed. We found out on our first day there that we would have to quarantine for 14 days on our return. We decided to get more information from the rep but the day they were due to be at the hotel was Saturday. We went down to reception at the allotted time, nobody turned up. A few days into our 2 week stay my husband received a phone call to inform us that we would be returning to the uk on Monday 12th October and not the 15th thus losing 3 days of our holiday. We were eventually visited by the rep who told us about the forms we had to complete. We had booked long legroom seats but the rep said he couldn’t help as he was only the rep for the resort and not the airline. My husband contacted the emergency helpline and we did manage to secure long legroom seats albeit not the ones we originally booked Our holiday was ruined but we were going to make the best of it. The staff are very good especially Tahsin one of the waiters who went out of his way to make our holiday as good as it could be. Food in the hotel is good but it’s never hot. Everything is covered by screens and you choose what you want to eat. As with the sunbeds there is a mad dash at mealtimes. Overall we did enjoy the holiday but being the only 2 English couple did put us off. We won’t be returning to this part of Turkey ever again. We were transported to the Antalya airport on the 8th October, what a nightmare. We were flying into Leeds but people on the Newcastle flight were booked onto ours....... no social distancing, the plane was full and apart from 2 Turkish Jet2 staff not a rep in sight. Everyone was scanned sometimes twice over. My husband received a message from Jet2 telling us how much compensation we will receive, for losing three days it’s appalling.…
We were very lucky to get room 1601, top floor, end room, perfect. Almost all rooms have seaviews and are well appointed, the hanging space is semi open but there are lots of drawers etc. Pool/beach towels are provided free in your room changed daily for free. The safe is also free and easy to use. TV, tea, coffee, water, slippers, all toiletries are provided and replaced. The food is very good and with Covid restrictions they do a fantastic job, the only complaint I would have with this hotel (the reason I gave a 4* and not 5*) is the lack of good meaty mains, the starters, salads are great though and breakfast relaxed, there are two a la carte restaurants on site but were closed during our time. The town of Avsallar is across a very busy road, but there is pedestrian bridge and a few pedestrian underpasses, the town has the usual shops etc. On a Wednesday there is a fantastic market. The massage within the hotel area €25 for 2 hours or pure relaxation we had two session and it was nice to get out of the heat in the afternoon. The bar area was very relaxing and I have to say that this hotel has two great assets and they are the fantastic bar staff: Tahsin (Thompson) and Memhet. These guys made our holiday so much more and the management should commend them, they work extremely hard, very long hours and always with a smile (even behind the mask), I noticed their interaction with fellow guests and everyone seemed to appreciate them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.…
Don’t really write reviews but felt the need to do so . Just returned from a two week holiday . Firstly Turkey has never been on my bucket list but am I glad we went What an amazing hotel set on the beach all seaview facing out of this world Great value for money staff couldn’t do enough always there with drinks and never stop in fact how they great through the day with masks visors and gloves in the heat is to be commended Food was great the first week the second week we found not as much choice and wasn’t as nice some of the stations where closed due to Covid 19 as where the al Le carte restaurants unfortunately this was something that couldn’t be helped due to the pandemic We felt very safe as safety measures where practiced such as constant cleaning temperature checking, masks compulsory where possible lots of sanitising stations, all guests at the hotel followed the guidelines which made us feel at ease Sunsets amazing just everything about this hotel was perfect The only negative I had was the beach man who was very rude people left their Lilos on the back wall I borrowed one and was asked for money I was quite shock to be honest I was not the only guest who experienced this in fact he would actually go and take the Lilos back if peopled borrowed them . I don’t understand the reasoning behind this apart from making money which I understand surely if he had a different approach people would tip as we tipped most of the staff I ended up buying my own Lilo which I left on my departure Massages had two Amazing all staff absolutely lovely and I must say the relaxation area looking out at the sea is so refreshing after a fabulous massage Would I return yes a hidden little gem in a great location with everything at hand Thank you to all the staff from reception to the maid to everyone who works at the Yalihan Una for a memorable two weeks …
