The pictures here don't do this place justice. They look like they were taken in January but I can tell you that, in May, this place is all blue sky, green grass and colorful flowers. I was there on a time share. It has beautiful pools and a nice wide sandy beach in a calm bay. I believe that all... More

The resort is just off the main road and about 6 km from downtown Denia. That means it's quiet. But there are still some excellent restaurants in the area. Right out the back gate of the resort is a wonderful, long, sandy beach with great views. As for the resort itself, it's immaculate and has a lovely series of pools... More

Just back from 2 weeks here and would definitely return. If you want a relaxing holiday with friendly locals and fellow holiday makers then this is the place for you. The receptionist was most helpful and could speak English. You are guaranteed a good night's sleep as the complex is lovely and quiet at night. The apartments are set around... More

I booked a 3 bedroom 1&1/2 bath at this resort (joke) using a RCI certificate and $250 US. The "Resort" is nothing more than a 1960s apartment with a nice pool. After seeing the outside I informed the receptionist that I wished to see the unit before paying the 50 euro utility fee. She couldn't release the keys to us... More

Yes, it is 5.2km away from Denia. Note, this distance is from the edge of town. There is another 2km to get to centre area. However, there is no real need to go into Denia that often as there are a few good restaurants easily within walking distance and a cracking wee bar/restaurant just across the road. Checking very good,... More

I stayed at Bahia Azul for a week in mid-March. While it may seem to be in Denia, it is actually about 5km away, so a car is essential. Being low season, the complex was very quiet; nevertheless, it was very well maintained. Even the pool which was freezing cold, was always cleaned by the staff. The complex has direct... More

It seemed there were not many guests staying here. There are many locked doors and gates which give a sense of security but all those locks can also be a nuisance. You need 2 keys just to get on your patio and then another to get out the gate to the beach. We were there at the end of January... More

This place is not up to the standards of the more luxurious RCI resorts, but the local charm still beats any deficiency. Finding the place could be a problem, as several purported website maps were just plain wrong.  If you have a GPS in your car, the easiest way is to set it for the street intersection of Carretera de... We had a very well equipped three bedroom unit. The bedrooms, however, are small by USA and South African standards. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks English well enough. All our small maintenance issues were immediately attended to. The main attractions at the resort are definitely the lovely pools for all ages and the easy secure access... More
