I stayed at Casa Benilde in June as I did the Camino de Santiago. The hotel was well situated in Palas del Rei, close to eateries, church, and the camino itself. The staff treated us EXCELLENTLY. Eager to be of help without being syrupy. Wifi worked like a charm. Though the hotel is modest and does not have large public...

The staff at this location was the best on the camino. They made us feel like royalty. Always smiling and quick to offer assistance. The rooms were small but extremely clean and more than adequate. The breakfast was outstanding. The hostess was there for our every desire and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Close to restaurants. Loved this...

I had read reviews about how excellent the staff were at this hotel and they couldn't be more right, they were simply outstanding! The bedrooms were quite small but all we needed, there is an area just off reception that you can dry clothes out if you needed to do any washing, the hotel is very close to the restaurants,...

Small hotel in this very small town. Very clean and centrally located. Staff helped us with restaurant options for dinner. Remembered our names. Breakfast top notch, fresh squeezed OJ with staff to serve even though a buffet breakfast.

I was one of 14 in our group who all stayed at this hotel for one day as we journeyed on El Camino. The staff were very welcoming, explained all to us, delivered our bags to our rooms before our arrival, and served us at breakfast with a smile. What amazed me is that the front desk staff who had...

We stayed here last week along our Camino walk and were really impressed with the way they delivered hospitality. This hotel is a great example of how to look after guests. The staff are as good as I have ever witnessed. Their attention to every detail was great and they turned our experience in this spotless simple hotel into a...

Arrived early one morning with an injury and Pilar was definitely an angel! She went well above to make me comfortable while my room was being cleaned. She made an appointment for therapy, reservations for my next hotel stay and helped me with transport all with a smile!! Kudos to Casa Benilde and their staff!!

Prologue: We made the St. James way during the first week of April. We booked through an agency all the hostels at the different stretches (with half board). Our comments refer to the expectations we had in relation to what we paid the agency. The number of stars are instead related to the price/quality ratio if you just want to...

This is a wonderful example of how attention to customer service renders the number of stars redundant. Walking the Camino and staying in basic rooms with the odd treat(parador in Villafranca) we have never experiences such excellent service. Bags in our room nearly brought tears to our eyes as we had been told earlier in our trip that this was...

I stay at five star hotels every week with my job but never in my life have i had such excellent service as from Pilar and Franscisco at this hotel! From the minute we walked in we were treated as honoured guests being greeted by name every time we appeared. We were offered an umbrella when we went out, when...
