After 4 days in bustling madrid we really loved our stay here. As others have said the charm of the accommodations and the lovely peaceful garden were heavenly. This part of the Extremadura is remote but accessible and the town is cute...though graffiti ridden.

We spent one night here and stayed in the garden appartment which was beautifully renovated in keeping with the convent style. The garden is peaceful with a great selection of roses, fruit trees and vegetables. We had tapas in the village, breakfast was fantastic and should not to be missed.I would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return for... More

Picture the scene... you step out onto your balcony in the morning, overlooking the square. Swifts are flying around the rooftops, mist is rising from the river that runs down from the nearby mountains, and the bells of the old church nearby are ushering in the day. I spent a wonderful and relaxing couple of days in Hervas, and it... More

The rooms are renovated softely with taste; the garden seems to be a part of paradise and the hosts are the born hosts, make you feel to be really welcome. Not to forget the breakfast which is homemade with love. And all that for a very good price. We highly recommend El Jardin.

Hervas village is located between Salamanca and Plasencia in a rural area. A beautiful, small place with two rather big churches. Next to one of the churches in a former convent is El Jardin del Convento located. Family-run, seven rooms, a wonderful garden and in this oasis also a small house is build. We really enjoyed our days in the... More

This place rates very highly on Tripadvisor etc, and it is indeed quite lovely. But perhaps not quite as special as reviews led me to believe. There were no major gripes - the room was OK, the staff friendly and full of local knowledge and the garden truly is lovely. Breakfast buffet looked better than it was, was pretty ordinary,... More

We stayed in this hotel at the weekend and it was a really fantastic experience. The inicial greeting and explanation from Amos was top class. The house oozes character, and the relatively few rooms addes to a sense of relaxation. The garden is perfect for relaxing (or playing hide and seek with your kids), the rooms was very comfortable, and... More

On a whistle-stop budget tour of Extremadura, I chose to spend one night, of my four, here. This is not a budget hotel, but a unique and stylish historical gem with lots of homely touches and obvious attention to detail. Sadly, like all of the places I stayed at in EX, I only saw it at night... My room was... More
