My husband and I have stayed at this Parador in the past and loved it. This time we stayed in the suite named "La Florida (Room 401)." The room is amazing. Beautiful bedroom with a comfortable bed. There are two separate beautifully appointed sitting areas with a long balcony overlooking the pool. The Parador itself evokes a certain Renaissance charm....

OMG! Plascencia has been on our list of places to visit. Staying at the PARADOR was so important. WOW! All our expectations were met. I did quite a lot of research and with the help of Victoria at KEYTEL they are the go to people in London for Paradors, I found exactly where we wanted to stay in the PARADOR....

Enjoyed every minute of my stay in this lovely old monastery right in the heart of the historical section of town. Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of regional choices, the room was beautifully appointed and comfortable. I would recommend and stay there again in a second!

Having driven past Plasencia many times I decided to take a look this time. Practicalities first - I was a bit concerned about the parking, so rang ahead. There is a drop off area outside the Parador, then you can find a nearby street to park in. Alternatively, for €12 follow the parking sign which takes you to a call...

I travelled here as part of a group exploring Extremadura and was very pleasantly surprised by this charming Parador. You cannot help but be blown away by this stunning property. From the original historical brickwork to the well-matched furniture and light-fittings, everything about the Parador has been perfectly designed to be in keeping with the historic nature of the property....

This impressive parador, where we arrived after a very long cycling day, is in an elegant old convent/monastery from the 15th century, with ancient stone walls, Gothic vaulted ceilings, period furniture and artworks. Our very nice room (in the old part of the parador) was divided in 2 sections, with a sitting/TV area, a semi dividing wall, and a sleeping...

Lovely Parador, get a superior room with balcony. Good pool, even though very shallow at only 1 metre dept. Breakfast okay, but wasn't impressed with restaurant food - too salty and huge starter portions on the set menu. The National Park is a must to visit - huge quantities of black vultures to see in the skies and a walk...

We stopped at this parador on our way back to France. It wasn't planned, it was just a wonderful find. It is a stunning 15th century convent which has been converted to hotel accommodation in a very sensitive manner. Our room was full of character and very large with little shuttered windows overlooking the main street - al for the...

Placencia town itself looks ordinary until you get into the old walled part, which is mostly in tact and larger than most towns will walls. Inside there are some lovely shops and Plaza Mayor is surrounded by a good selection of places to eat. The Parador is a spectacular building, grand and imposing. The staff are welcoming. The restaurant has...

Really enjoyed our two nights in this parador. We booked a standard room and it was quite large with a separate sitting are, and the bathroom was good as well. All the communal rooms were beautiful they have a underground car park, so you need to follow the signs to parador parking, but then just press the button and it...
