We found exactly what we were looking for: calm, peace and relax in a quiet environment. The hotel combines perfectly the magnificent look of a quite well refurbished renacentist palace with 21st century standards. Very nice breakfast served in the palace yard -covered with a glass roof that brings a lot of light despite the fact it was a rainy...

Stayed hehre with my wife for 2 nights. This is a wonderful hotel beautifully and sympathetically restored in a way which keeps it authentic. The rooms are huge and very comfortable: ours had the original massive stone open fireplace. Our bathroom was bigger than many hotel rooms I have stayed in in London. The restaurant is excellent. The chef is very...

A room with a view? Yes of the cathedral! We wanted to visit the cathedral but I refuse to add to the wealth of the Roman Catholic church by paying for praying. A room with a pool? Almost! The biggest bathtub I have ever seen. Mark Spitz was doing laps. Loved it! Loved in it! Nothing brings a couple together...

Well priced, large and comfortable. We only stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Huge bath and bed. Sights and restaurants only a short walk away. Call beforehand for directions if you are driving and check to see if you can have a space for parking your car. Well worth staying.

We really liked this hotel. The rooms were light, airy, clean and well air conditioned which was a boon with temperatures in the hight 30'sC. The cleanliness of all the public and bedrooms is exceptional and the public rooms are very pleasant. We ate lunch which was really well cooked and good value for money. The colour schemes were, in...

We spent a wonderful night at the Hotel Palacio Carvajal Giron, situated in the very centre of Plasencia. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed a continental breakfast in the inner courtyard of this impressive mansion.

We had high hopes for this recently restored palace hotel. Unfortunately it didn't really float our boat. It was all beige and khaki concrete floors. Dread to think how cold feet would be in winter!!! Plasencia is a charming small town and the centre is small streets and restricted access. Much more colourful than the hotel! Much more vibrant than...
