We spent only one day and night here knowing the place but never staying before. The place is amazing. Hard to get better views on the sea while you take a coffe or enjoy a meal in front of the windows of the dining room. The hotel is probably older than 40 years and even though it looks well you... A modern Parador in a great location with beautiful views and an easy walk to a secluded beach. Restaurant well up to the Parador standard, excellent house wines and well conceived if slightly over-elaborate menu. Good base for touring, including Cadaques which was well worth a visit.

The location is absolutely brilliant with Med on one side and a beautiful swimming cove on the other side. There are a few minor things that need to be done in the hotel as it is ageing. The electrical outlets don't all work and the floor boards creak a bit from rooms above. But putting that all aside the food... More

The rooms are comfortable and quiet, if a bit dated; there aren't many outlets to charge the various phones, tablets etc. that one carries aound these days. Breakfast is of the highest quality and variety and caters to most tastes and nutritional needs. The view from the rooms has to be one of the best of the Costa Brava. When... More

As many reviews rightly say, the Parador of Aiguablava is set in an amazing location. The views all around are beautiful and even a weekend in November is a great excuse to send time there. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, the rooms and some of the common areas are starting to... More

Set in one of the more tranquil areas of the Costa Brava, Parador de Aiguablava occupies a rocky headland jutting out into the sea. I stayed in a Superior Plus room which was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the sea which enjoyed the sun in the morning. The facilities at the hotel are excellent. There was... More

The location of the Parador is a highlight of every journey. And you can have affordable rooms with fantastic views. In walking distance there are nice bathing spots. With well posted coastal paths you can make beautiful hikes, just starting from the hotel. The rooms are clean and a good standard. The bath feels renovated. The shower with the very... More

Despite not being a stately historic building, like many other Paradors, Aiguablava is one of the best ! It is beautifully presented, high up on the peninsula overlooking the Med - the hotel is immaculate and not at all 'worn' - our bedroom with balcony overlooking the sea was lovely - breakfast was good but we didn't eat dinner at... The hotel location is beautiful, on cliffs overlooking cove. The room had a very nice view of the sea, but smelled of smoke. The front desk people were neither friendly, helpful or attentive, as they preferred to spend time on computer vs. assist with check in or out. The restaurant has beautiful views of sea, but is very average and... More

This Parador is exceptionally beautiful and well located. The rooms are spacious and the view is exceptional. Ask for a room with water view. There are also rooms with mountain view. That view is also ok. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and the breakfasts generous. There is an exit on the side of the Parador to the beach.... More
