We were told upon our arrival that the Inn was oversold even with our advance reservations, confirmation email from the Inn, & my phone call to confirm a few days prior to arrival. Apparently our room in the historic part of the inn was given to another party wishing to extend their stay. The Inn did book & pay for... More

It is a nice quaint hotel but rooms have very little sound insulation from outside or inside. If you are counting on a good night sleep on a business trip don't Spent 4 nights -every night or early am woke up due to people walking/parking outside or closing doors The Windows are old single pane (yes in this day and... My husband and I spent two nights in the Thoreau Suite at the Colonial Inn. This beautiful inn is celebrating its 300th birthday. This building is incredible- hallways, staircases, beautiful furnishings- it is something that truly must be experienced. The suite was on the second floor and was a surprise 70th birthday present for my husband. He loved it-an authentic... More

We picked this hotel due to the rating, and it was a very good choice. The room was in the newer area, behind original old building. It was a basic room, small and plain, but clean and comfortable. The price is definitely in the location. The area is very cool and within walking distance to the bridge and Sleepy Hallow... More

A great take on an authentic American Sunday brunch in a quaint little inn! Service was good, although they did seem to have their hands full! Food was excellent and the desserts were divine! I have been coming for Sunday brunch here since 1996 whenever I'm in Boston, and I look forward to my next visit already!

We enjoyed a nice lunch on the porch of the colonial Inn on Labor Day. The food was excellent as was the waitstaff. We also enjoyed the generous pours of wine. The only issue with our visit was the part where the pesky bees that that would leave us alone during lunch, otherwise it was a delightful time.

Buried at the end of the square on the beginning of Monument St., this Inn is much bigger than it appears. While it does draw the tourist crowd, it is also a great place to dine, which a broad modern menu, and fine service. We had great sandwiches and salads with reasonable choice of wine and finished with expresso and... More

Stayed here on a whim, staff was very friendly and the building was cool. Popular bar area but that didn't make it too loud. We were very pleased, only problem was the bed was pretty uncomfortable so I will be sore today... But all in all a good stay. Would recommend.

After the historical walk this is a great place to eat, inside or outside. Right in the heart of the town. But please see first Lexington. Enjoy a great lunch or dinner and special drinks. Good and friendly service, If you like some ghost stories they can provide that too. Room 24 and 27 may be haunted.

In good weather, you have the opportunity to lunch outside on the porch or inside in the dining room. With an impending storm we opted for inside. Our location was in a smaller room but our space was adequate and it worked well. Our waitress was really good. She took care of our needs without much fuss. The meal seemed... More
