This campground is within Mesa Verde NP and the second stop after the visitor center. It has showers and bathrooms that are ok. A store, a gas station and a small restaurant plus a ranger station are on site. Sites are in the green and large. There is plenty of room between them. They offer free WiFi but it is... More

Been looking forward to camping here for years. Recommend getting there early to get a good site. Most of the shaded ones were already taken, but in hindsight, we were glad to end up with the site we did. We spent most of the day exploring the park, and by the time we returned, the sun was low enough that... More

We tent camped in a six person tent. Some sites were too small, but many others were adequate. You are able to choose your own site. Some were grassy, some with many trees. We saw deer each morning. There is water at each bathroom, but showers only at the camp store (where they also serve food). We saw deer every... More

I loved visiting Mesa verde. I would just suggest that Aramark put a little more money into the campground facilties. I appreciate the availability of restrooms in the campground, but they were really dirty compared to all other national parks I've been to, and that's a lot. The camp store and cafe could also use a paint job and updating... More

Very nice campground with free hot shower and a laundry facility. Inside the park at 45 minutes drive to the ruins. Nice big campsite with privacy. Great stargazing opportunity. Got to get there early to choose your campsite even though you made a reservation.

Scenic camping area. Camp sites are really close together. There is no privacy or quiet. Restrooms are clean and easily accessed. Decent hiking trails close to camp sites. Historic sites close by. Some sites require paid ranger tours.

On a 21 state motorcycle camping trip, we stayed in Morefield Village Campground and spend some time at the different sites at Mesa Verde NP. The campground was OK, sites and campsites bathrooms clean. The main shower room and bath room at the campground store, not so clean but that's the only negative comment I will make about the NP.... This is a great campground! We stayed for two nights and reserved our spot months in advance. The clean-ish bathrooms feature fully flushing toilets and operating sink. The showers with HOT, HOT, HOT water are just a short bike ride away. The campground was pretty full, yet nice and quiet. Got to wake up looking at a cliff. The workers... More

Through Recreation.gov, we reserved and stayed at one of the full hook up RV sites in the Morefiled Campground, inside Mesa Verde National Park. The full hook up sites are all located on the Ute Loop and are all back in. The reservation was site specific. The sites in Ute Loop are gravel surface and slightly pitched side to side... More

We were impressed coming from 2 weeks of fighting for campgrounds spots in arches, yellowstone, and Grand Tetons, we showed up in late afternoon and there were plenty of sites to choose from. Many of the site have there own little area within trees which was nice, even though you find yourself close to others sites, the tree coverage gives... More
