The campground is quite a drive up from the visitor center and has very spacious and private sites. It was really nice to camp in the park because we had a tour at Balcony House at 9AM the next morning. We enjoyed having the full hookup at our site. They have showers and laundry but we never used them. We... More

We stayed here in a fifth wheel with full hookups. Not cheap but we felt it was worth the cost. Easy access to the whole of Mesa Verde NP. The sites are large with plenty of room for slides and picnic area. Access to the sites is very easy with wide bays and roads to make backing in very easy.... More

I like that you get to pick your campsite even with a reservation once you arrive. The site had laundry, wifi, showers that were nice, flush toliets, gas, gift shop, and a restaurant. The wifi is spotty, but we mostly got reception in the laundry room. The location is great. We had a good stay.

The camp ground is nothing fancy. It is nice to be right in the park and let me tell you the stars at night are amazing!! Never have I felt so close to space. It is very quite and nice. If you need hookups you will need to make a reservation although the campground is big and didn't seem very... More

The scavenger hunt that was recently created for children at the site should be found at ALL national park sites! What a great way to learn about the flora, fauna, and culture of the area. We all loved doing this activity around the camp site before and after visiting Mesa Verde.

We spent two enjoyable nights here in July 2016. Our sight was large and a bit uneven, but very private with fabulous views. Bathrooms were close. In Morefield Village there was a general store, showers and laundry, as well as a restaurant. We had breakfast at the restaurant and were disappointed in the burritos. My husband and 11-year-old son completed... More

This campground is within Mesa Verde NP and the second stop after the visitor center. It has showers and bathrooms that are ok. A store, a gas station and a small restaurant plus a ranger station are on site. Sites are in the green and large. There is plenty of room between them. They offer free WiFi but it is... More

Been looking forward to camping here for years. Recommend getting there early to get a good site. Most of the shaded ones were already taken, but in hindsight, we were glad to end up with the site we did. We spent most of the day exploring the park, and by the time we returned, the sun was low enough that... More

We tent camped in a six person tent. Some sites were too small, but many others were adequate. You are able to choose your own site. Some were grassy, some with many trees. We saw deer each morning. There is water at each bathroom, but showers only at the camp store (where they also serve food). We saw deer every... More

I loved visiting Mesa verde. I would just suggest that Aramark put a little more money into the campground facilties. I appreciate the availability of restrooms in the campground, but they were really dirty compared to all other national parks I've been to, and that's a lot. The camp store and cafe could also use a paint job and updating... More
